1. Spring Exclusive Offer at Hotel New Otani: Experience Springtime in Both Gardens and Guest Rooms
Located just a 3-minute walk from Akasaka-Mitsuke Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza and Marunouchi Lines, and Nagatacho Station on the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon and Namboku Lines, Hotel New Otani has been a prestigious establishment with a history of over 55 years. The guest rooms are divided among "The Main" building, the high-rise "New Otani Garden Tower," and "Executive House Zen" located on the 11th and 12th floors of "The Main," each with its unique concept.
The rooms range from standard to deluxe and suites, with "The Main" featuring special "New Edo" rooms that allow guests to experience "Edo" through all five senses, including cypress baths and sake service.
Furthermore, in the world-renowned Forbes Travel Guide's 2024 hotel ratings, "Executive House Zen" received its fifth consecutive five-star rating, while "The Main" earned four stars for the fourth year in a row. This recognition underscores the hotel's global reputation for providing top-notch hospitality.
Within the hotel's grounds lies a vast Japanese garden of approximately 40,000 square meters, surrounded by the outer moat of Edo Castle, where 58 cherry trees of 19 different varieties, including mountain cherry trees, Somei Yoshino, and double-flowered cherry trees, are planted. The early bloomers start flowering from early March, allowing guests to enjoy cherry blossom viewing through early May, with the blooms staggered over the period.
In the evenings, to commemorate the hotel's 60th anniversary in September 2024, the Japanese garden will be illuminated in cherry blossom colors for the "Tokyo 'Yozakura' Light-Up" event. Additionally, an event named "Lantern Garden Walk - Sakura" will be held exclusively for guests, offering lanterns for a nocturnal stroll through the Japanese garden. This provides a unique opportunity to admire the cherry blossoms under the lantern light, offering a different ambiance from the daytime garden experience.
Starting March 1st, for a limited time, a short stay plan named "Spring Gift with L'Occitane" will be available for check-ins after 5 PM. Each guest will receive a 30ml Cherry Blossom Soft Hand Cream from L'Occitane, the cosmetics brand originating from the South of France, per night stayed. The refreshing and gentle scent of spring cherry blossoms will fill the room, allowing guests to enjoy the cherry blossom viewing atmosphere indoors as well. Additionally, from some of the rooms, guests can view the Japanese garden, where the cherry trees are in full bloom.
The hotel also boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, among which the observatory restaurant "VIEW & DINING THE SKY" stands out. Here, guests can enjoy a buffet while admiring the cherry blossom scenery of the surrounding area through 360° panoramic windows.
Foreign guests who have stayed at the hotel have shared their impressions, saying, "The service from the employees was thorough, and I could truly feel that I was spending a special time there. The view from the room was exceptional! I found myself wanting to stay another night, and then another." According to the staff at Hotel New Otani, stays from mid-March to early April are highly recommended as this period coincides with the cherry blossom season.
The hotel is staffed with English-speaking personnel and offers free Wi-Fi throughout the premises. Additionally, a luggage delivery service to the airport (Haneda & Narita) is available for a fee, with reservations accepted up until the day before check-out.

2. Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo's Spring Flower Viewing Stay Plan: Enjoy Blossoms with Luxurious Buffet & Sweet Treats for Kids
Located about a 10-minute walk from Edogawabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line, Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is a prestigious hotel that has been cherished by world-renowned VIPs. In 2022, it earned four stars in both the hotel and spa categories from the Forbes Travel Guide for the seventh consecutive year.
The hotel staff includes English speakers, and signs within the hotel as well as restaurant menus are available in English. For those interested, the hotel also offers a luggage delivery service to the airport (Haneda & Narita) for a fee, with arrangements to be made by the day before check-out. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Resembling an oasis in the city, the garden sprawling over approximately 50,000 square meters at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo is planted with about 100 cherry trees of around 20 different species. Starting in February each year, early-blooming varieties such as Kawazu cherry and winter-flowering cherry begin to bloom, allowing for cherry blossom viewing until mid-April as different species flower in succession. Furthermore, from January to March, the garden's symbol, around 2,300 camellia plants of approximately 100 varieties, come into full bloom. This offers a rare opportunity in Tokyo to simultaneously admire both camellias and cherry blossoms in the same garden.
The collaboration between the cherry blossoms and "Tokyo Unkai," one of Japan's largest mist garden spectacles, offers a breathtaking view. The "Yozakura Unkai" (Night Cherry Blossoms with Sea of Clouds) event, where the cherry blossoms are illuminated in sakura colors at night, has become a popular topic for offering a mystical cherry blossom viewing experience. The unique charm of enjoying the "Morning Sakura" bathed in the clear early morning sunlight, the fantastical combination of Tokyo Unkai and cherry blossoms, and the "Yozakura Unkai" with its night-time illumination in cherry blossom colors, is a distinctive attraction not found in other facilities.
The guest rooms at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo are available in Superior, Deluxe, and Suite categories, catering to a range of preferences and needs. Additionally, the design themes include "Prime Classic," which features European elegance, and "Prime Modern," which offers a contemporary Japanese aesthetic. For Suites, guests can choose from an even wider variety of types, including traditional Japanese-style rooms, providing a diverse selection to suit different tastes and requirements.
Guests can also enjoy rooms with a garden view, offering spectacular vistas of the beautifully maintained garden that showcases the changing beauty of the seasons, including cherry blossoms and autumn leaves. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, providing a very comfortable experience. Comments from guests highlight the enchanting and fantastic sight of the mist garden illuminated at night, and many have expressed how pleasant it is to stroll through the garden, enjoying the serene and magical atmosphere created by the mist and light.
The dining experience at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo includes a choice among nine restaurants, featuring Japanese cuisine, Italian cuisine, and more. These restaurants pride themselves on using seasonal ingredients to create dishes that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. Additionally, some of the restaurants offer options for vegetarians, vegans, and halal menus, catering to a wide range of dietary preferences and requirements.
In 2024, the "Spring Cherry Blossom Viewing Dinner Buffet Stay with Breakfast" will be introduced. The dinner buffet will feature a plethora of spring vegetables and seasonal seafood, including Scotch eggs with quail eggs and strawberry cupcakes designed to resemble rabbits. As special menu items, adults can enjoy a tasting comparison of "Botan shrimp nigiri sushi and white shrimp bite-sized hand rolls (ticketed)," while children will be gifted a "Sweets Bag" filled with hotel-original confections. The drink menu includes unique cocktails exclusive to the dinner buffet, such as the vivid "Pink Mimosa" and the "Sakura Gin and Tonic," where cherry blossom petals flutter inside the glass.

The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo, located just a 3-minute walk from JR and Keikyu Shinagawa Station, boasts excellent accessibility and has been awarded four stars by the Forbes Travel Guide for three consecutive years.
The hotel employs English-speaking staff and provides hotel guides in English, ensuring that international guests can navigate and enjoy their stay with ease.
Stepping outside the hotel building, guests are greeted by a sprawling Japanese garden that covers approximately 20,000 square meters. Within this garden, about 210 cherry trees of 17 different varieties, including Kawazu-zakura, Somei Yoshino, and Kanzan, are planted. The early-blooming Kawazu-zakura typically starts to flower in early February, while the late-blooming Kanzan usually flowers in late April, allowing for an extended cherry blossom viewing season.

Feedback from international guests has been positive, noting, "Despite being close to the station, the hotel is surrounded by greenery and has a nice garden. The bellboy's service was outstanding, making me feel comfortable even before entering the hotel. The separation of the bathroom and toilet, the size of the bed, and the spaciousness of the room all contributed to a comfortable stay."
Within the same premises as "The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo," the "Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa" and "Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa" are also operating, offering guests a wide selection of dining options across various genres from the restaurants of these two hotels as well (please check each hotel's website for the latest operational status).
At "The Prince Sakura Tower Tokyo," guests can enjoy the esteemed Japanese cuisine of "Nadaman Takanawa Prime" and the Italian flavors of "Ristorante Café Chiriègio." These dining options provide a rich culinary experience, ranging from traditional Japanese to authentic Italian dishes.

This year, enjoy a serene moment with the "SAKURA View Stay - Breakfast & Champagne Included" package, where you can relax with a glass of champagne in hand while gazing at the beautiful cherry blossoms outside your window. This plan guarantees a room on the lower floors of Sakura Tower with a view of the cherry blossoms and provides a half bottle of champagne, allowing you to enjoy the cherry blossoms from your window exclusively. 4. Spring-Exclusive Plan at Kissho CAREN: Enjoy a Fulfilling Time With Cherry Blossoms.
Izu, accessible by train in about two hours from Tokyo, is known as one of the premier resort areas close to the capital region. With numerous hot spring locations like Shuzenji and Ito, it also offers leisure activities centered around its natural landscapes of sea and mountains.
Kissho CAREN is located on the east side of Izu, about a 13-minute walk from Izu-Kitaibaraki Station on the Izu Kyuko Line (there's a free shuttle bus service from Izu-Atagawa Station). This adults-only hideaway resort boasts an all-room ocean view from its hillside location along the coast, overlooking Sagami Bay. Guests can also enjoy breathtaking views where the blue of the sky and sea merge from the open-air baths and restaurant, making it a serene retreat.
Within the premises of Kissho CAREN, guests can encounter cherry blossoms at various locations, including the open-air baths, guest rooms, restaurant, and hotel entrance. Typically, in early February, the Kawazu cherry trees planted around the entrance and the "Aomi" open-air bath start to bloom, followed by the Oshima cherry trees around the "Wazuki" open-air bath beginning to flower in late February. Then, around mid-March, the Somei Yoshino cherry trees planted in front of the "Aotake" restaurant bloom, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy a variety of cherry blossom views over approximately two months.
Especially in the outdoor hot spring bath, you can enjoy a cherry blossom viewing experience while soaking in the tub, accompanied by the sunrise over Sagami Bay, the moon, the starry sky, and the pink cherry blossoms floating in the water.
All guest rooms at Kissho CAREN are Japanese-style, offering a range of options from standard rooms to Japanese-Western rooms with Hollywood twin beds, and rooms equipped with observation baths or open-air baths.
Feedback from international guests highlights the spectacular views from the hot springs and the delicious cuisine at the restaurant. They also appreciated the cleanliness of the entire facility and the kindness of the staff.
From February 1 to March 31, 2024, Kissho CAREN will offer a special accommodation plan, "Spring Splendor Special! Limited Time 'Sakura Kaiseki' with Rosé Sparkling Wine & Strawberry Parfait Gift." Upon check-in, guests will be treated to an afternoon tea featuring "Sakura Pancakes" from 2 PM to 3:30 PM. Since the Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms usually start blooming in mid-March, enjoying this treat on the terrace during this period is highly recommended.
For dinner, guests can savor the French Kaiseki "Sakura Kaiseki Course," featuring dishes made with cherry sea bream and sakura shrimp. Additionally, a bottle of rosé sparkling wine will be gifted during dinner. To conclude the meal, a chef's special strawberry parfait will be served as a delightful dessert.
For breakfast, guests have the choice between a traditional Japanese set meal or a teppan (griddle-cooked) breakfast. The Japanese set meal features local specialties such as Izu's dried fish, sashimi from local fish, and dashi-maki tamago (rolled omelet) with sakura shrimp, offering a menu that emphasizes locally sourced and health-conscious options. These dishes are served at the "Four Seasons" restaurant, allowing guests to start their day with a taste of the region's finest produce.
The teppan breakfast offers a unique dining experience at the "Aotake" restaurant, where guests can enjoy their favorite egg dishes cooked right in front of them, along with fluffy French toast, and original wasabi and tomorrow's leaf sausage, among other exceptional menu items that provide a taste of the extraordinary.

5. Karuizawa Prince Hotel West: Indulge in Cherry Blossom Viewing with 9 Sweets in a Forest Cottage
The Karuizawa Prince Hotel, accessible by a roughly 1-hour Shinkansen ride from Tokyo Station and a 13-minute walk from Karuizawa Station, offers three distinct experiences: Karuizawa Prince, East, and West.
Karuizawa Prince Hotel West not only has twin rooms that bring guests close to nature from within their rooms but also features scattered cottages within the forest. In April 2021, a new building with 70 twin rooms featuring terraces, as well as a new hot spring building with an open-air bath, were added. The hotel's location is convenient for shopping at Karuizawa Outlet Mall, as well as for golf and skiing activities.
At an elevation of about 1,000 meters, cherry blossom viewing in Karuizawa is best from early April to early May, a bit later than in the Kanto region, offering a second chance for those who missed the peak season elsewhere. Karuizawa is renowned for its numerous cherry blossom spots and a variety of cherry tree species, including Somei Yoshino, Weeping Cherry, and Mountain Cherry, adding to the appeal of this highland resort area.

Its allure lies in the opportunity to stay in cottages from which guests can view cherry blossoms, directly from their rooms. Nestled in a serene, natural setting, this plan allows guests to enjoy a leisurely cherry blossom viewing experience with a sense of privacy and tranquility.
An additional highlight of this stay plan is the exclusive suite of sweets created by Chef Patissier Kazuya Nagata, the pastry chef at Karuizawa Prince Hotel, who has won international competitions. These special sweets, available only with this plan, feature strawberries from Komoro City in Nagano Prefecture and chocolate from Felchlin, a Swiss company founded over 100 years ago. The assortment includes nine types of sweets, each meticulously crafted by the award-winning pastry chef, adding a charming touch to the plate and enhancing the cherry blossom viewing experience from the comfort of your room.
Additionally, guests will receive a ¥1,000 Enjoy Ticket that can be used at dining establishments and for activities within the hotel grounds, as well as at partnered tourist facilities. A recommended use of this ticket is bicycle rental, allowing guests to explore the approximately 300 cherry trees, including Somei Yoshino and Weeping Cherry, within the Karuizawa Prince Hotel premises by cycling.
For breakfast, guests can choose between a buffet at the "ALL DAY DINING LOUNGE/BAR Primrose" located in the West area or a traditional Japanese set meal at "Japanese Cuisine Karamatsu," situated in front of the West main entrance.
