What is the Osaka Amazing Pass?

The Osaka Amazing Pass is a discount sightseeing ticket that allows entry into many venues around the city and includes a guidebook full of coupons and an associated mobile app.

Depending on the number of days and the train lines included, you can freely get on and off designated trains and buses.

Where to go with 1- and 2-day passes

With a one-day ticket, you can ride the Osaka Metro and Osaka City Bus (excluding some routes), as well as the Hankyu, Hanshin, Keihan, Kintetsu, and Nankai train lines running within Osaka City.

Two-day tickets are limited to the use of the Metro and City Bus (all lines).

From Osaka’s gateway, Shin-Osaka Station, start your day trip by going to Umeda and enjoying the view from the Umeda Sky Building's Floating Garden Observatory. Then head to Namba to eat takoyaki at Dotonbori and reserve an evening ride on the popular <@Tombori River Cruise|a=article:a2000447>.

From there, move to Tanimachi Yonchome Station to see <@Osaka Castle|a=article:a2000008>. After riding the Osaka Castle Gozabune (castle moat boat tour), get back on the Metro at Osaka Business Park Station and ride to <@Shinsaibashi|a=article:a2000327@>. After walking back to Namba, board the Tombori River Cruise booked earlier.

Every location on this route is accessible via the Osaka Metro and would usually cost 5,420 yen in subway fare, but with the 1-day Osaka Tour Pass, you’ll save 2,720 yen!

In addition to the areas of Osaka covered by 1-day tickets, the Hankyu Edition allows passage on Hankyu Railways' Kobe (excluding the Kobe Kosoku Line), Takarazuka, Kyoto Main (Umeda to Minase), and Kyoto Senri Lines.

The Hanshin Edition grants access to all Hanshin Railway lines (excluding the Kobe Kosoku Line). Meanwhile, the Nankai Kanku Edition allows you to get on and off the Nankai Railway from Sakai to Kyoshi, Nakamozucho to Amami, and Shiomibashi to Kishinosato-Tamade, as well as the Takashinohama, Airport, and Tanagawa Lines.

In person, the best place to purchase the Osaka Amazing Pass 1- and 2-day tickets is at the commuter pass sales office in the Osaka Metro stations.

Other locations include the JR Osaka Station Central Ticket Gate, JR Shin-Osaka Station 3F Concourse, tourist information centers at Nankai Namba Station 1F, and the Kansai Tourist Information Center at Kansai Airport. Payment by credit card is possible at tourist information centers; elsewhere payment must be in cash.
