Tateyama City is located on the southern tip of the Boso Peninsula. Facing the Pacific Ocean and famous for its warm climate, this area is pleasant all year round. About a ten-minute drive from the city center, you’ll find Hanashibuki, a luxurious Chiba beach resort nestled on the Shiomi Coast.
The closest station, JR Uchibo Line Tateyama Station, is about 2 hours from Tokyo Station, making it comfortably outside the city and yet extremely easy to access via public transportation. A free shuttle bus also runs regularly from Tateyama Station to the hotel (reservation ahead of time is required).
In addition, the staff can speak English, Filipino, and Vietnamese, and translator devices are also available to accommodate others. Free Wi-Fi can be used anywhere in the building.

At Hanashibuki, you'll love gazing out at the blue sea spreading in front of you – scenery you can enjoy not only from the guest rooms, but from the lounge and open terrace as well. The view from there is like a special seat in the sea. There are various types of rooms with ocean views, including modern Japanese and Western-style rooms, as well as suites with open-air views.

You can enjoy the Tateyama Shiomi Onsen at Hanashibuki, a hot spring whose waters well up from the inn's premises. These sodium chloride-rich waters are believed to have a beneficial effect against neuralgia, muscle pain, and fatigue.
In addition to the large public bath with an open-air bath (no tattoos allowed), if you wish to drop by on a day trip, you can also enjoy a private open-air bath with a private room (starting at 3,500 yen / 45 minutes, tax included), complete with a garden where you can enjoy seasonal flowers.

Hanashibuki specializes in exceptionally fresh seafood, using carefully selected seasonal fish directly procured from local fishermen. You'll love indulging in the meals here while enjoying your getaway!

2. Shiosai Resort Kamogawa: Where you can enjoy the Sotobo Coast from up close

Shiosai Resort Kamogawa is located in Kamogawa City, located in the southeastern part of the Boso Peninsula. The nearest train station, Futomi Station (JR Uchibo Line), can be reached in about 2 hours from Tokyo Station. It's about a 7-minute stroll from Futomi Station to the hotel.
Shiosai Resort Kamogawa is close to the aquarium theme park Kamogawa Sea World and very conveniently located for sightseeing in the area. Enjoy the resort overlooking the ocean.
In addition to the information being posted also in English, the staff uses multi-language translator devices to better help foreign guests. Free Wi-Fi is also available, and the hotel also offers the free rental smartphone "Handy" service, which offers convenient tips on things to see and do nearby.

3. Katsuura Hotel Mikazuki: Relax while enjoying the spectacular Chiba beach views

Katsuura Hotel Mikazuki is a spacious sea resort offering gorgeous panoramic views and a pleasant environment fitting for families. The nearest station, Katsuura Station on the JR Sotobo Line, can be reached in about one hour and a half from Tokyo Station. The hotel is a 6-minute walk from Katsuura Station.

All rooms feature large windows and offer views of the sapphire-blue sea and white sandy beaches. There are Western-style rooms, Japanese-style ones, and rooms that combine features of both styles in one.

Katsuura Hotel Mikazuki's main selling point is relaxing while gazing at the superb view. In addition to the large public bath with a view of the Pacific Ocean, you can access the indoor and outdoor spas containing over twenty different types of baths (spas require swimsuits and tattoos are not allowed). With the rotenburo bedrock bath in the facilities, you will be able to fully cleanse yourself of your fatigue.


Dinner is served buffet-style, with the carefully selected fresh seafood, meat, and vegetables prepared in front of you. You can enjoy your meal at Japan's first full-course open kitchen.
Even after the end of the coronavirus alert, the restaurant will continue to strive to maintain its high prevention standards. Guests will also be happy to know that they may also enjoy dinner in their room if they so wish.

4. Resol no Mori: Immerse yourself in the comfort of soothing nature

Chiba Prefecture is known not only for its picturesque seaside vistas but for its green expanses. Sport & Do Resort Resol no Mori is an experience-based resort facility boasting an area of 100 hectares (247 acres) that's complete with a variety of sports facilities, restaurants, and spas.
The nearest station, Honda Station (JR Sotobo Line), can be reached in about one hour from Tokyo Station, and you can reach the hotel grounds using the free shuttle from Honda Station. The staff speak English and the information are posted in English as well as Japanese. Free Wi-Fi is available on site.


You can choose from a wide range of accommodations at Resol no Mori, ranging from terraced houses to fully immerse yourself in nature; log houses, to enjoy the warmth of the wood; tent cabins for glamping; and resort hotel rooms full of luxury.

You will find tennis courts and golf on the premises in addition to the gyms. You can also enjoy activities like Forest Adventure Tarzania, where you will repel from tree to tree using a special harness and a zip line with a total length of 445 meters.
