Furano Ski Resort Guide (2025-2026): Why Furano Is Called the 'Perfect Snow Mountain' for Families and Serious Skiers Alike

Last updated: 24 November 2025

Hokkaido is a dream destination for skiers and snowboarders, and the reason lies in its exceptional snow quality. Winters in Hokkaido are cold and dry, allowing areas across the region to enjoy light, low-moisture powder snow.

Among them, Furano stands out for its particularly cold climate; its average winter temperatures are lower than those in Sapporo, making the powder snow at Furano Ski Resort especially high in quality. In this guide, we’ll share useful tips to make your Furano trip even better, including recommended courses, lift ticket options, access information, and more.
