Hitachi Seaside Park, located in Hitachinaka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, is a 190-hectare public park renowned for its vibrant seasonal flower displays. The "Flowering2026" event at Hitachi Seaside Park welcomes the arrival of spring with a vibrant showcase of seasonal flowers from March 20 to May 31, 2026.

Period: Late March to mid-April (peak bloom) - Tulips (approx. 280,000 flowers)
Period: Mid-April to late April (peak bloom) - Nemophila (approx. 5.3 million flowers)
Period: Mid-April to early May (peak bloom) - Roses (approx. 3,400 plants)

The flower relay begins with the cheerful daffodils, followed by colorful tulips stretching across the pine forests, and then the mesmerizing blue nemophila that blankets the hillsides. As the event progresses, fragrant roses will take center stage, creating a spectacular floral display.

During the spring festa, the park will host a range of experiences and performances, such as the Ibaraki Urban Greening Festival (May 17) and The World of Brass 2026 (May 5). This is a great opportunity to enjoy live performances and local culture over the weekends!

For food lovers, there’s an array of local Ibaraki delicacies like the famous Hamu Yaki (grilled ham skewer) and Hitachi Beef Steak Bowl, alongside spring sweets like the popular Nemophila Blue Soft Serve and new treats like the Ohana Soft Serve.

2. “HAPPY SPRING FESTA 2026” at Musashi-Kyuryo National Government Park (Saitama)

Explore the beauty of the season with a variety of attractions and activities at Musashi-Kyuryo National Government Park! From early April to late May, the park is hosting the HAPPY SPRING FESTA 2026, where visitors can enjoy time-limited foods and activities, in addition to strolling around the pretty flower fields.

Wander through the park's three main flower fields, from the vibrant Iceland poppy blooms at the "Sports Field Flower Garden" to the tranquil sky-blue nemophila at the "West Plaza Flower Garden." And be sure not to miss the beautiful lupines, known for their tall, wisteria-like flower spikes glowing under dappled sunlight in the Komorebi Flower Garden.

For a relaxing break during the festa, the Central Restaurant offers delicious meals like the limited-edition Sakura to Yama no Pizza, topped with cherry shrimp and mountain herbs.
From May 2 to May 6 (during the Golden Week holidays), enjoy outdoor fun at "ACTIVE WEEKS!" with activities like canoeing, trampolines, and tree climbing. And don't miss the Botanical Picnic, a pop-up market featuring gourmet food, drinks, and eco-friendly shops under the sun. If you want to join the picnic, do note that, to reduce environmental impact, organizers ask visitors to bring their own cup or bottle.

3. Rainbow Strawberry Hunt in a Rose Garden Fantasy at Keisei Rose Garden (Chiba)

Set inside Keisei Rose Garden, this imaginative strawberry-picking event transforms a typical farm visit into a whimsical Wizard of Oz-inspired adventure. Running from January 17 to April 30, 2026, guests wander through colorful, rainbow-themed lanes guided by theatrical “Strawberry Hunters,” encountering playful characters along the way. New this year is a hands-on dessert experience, where freshly picked strawberries are used to create a custom “rainbow cake,” blending fruit picking with interactive sweets-making in a vividly decorated setting.

Ashikaga Flower Park is a beloved destination to enjoy the magical wisteria, with an array of flowers in beautiful colors. The park invites visitors to enjoy the Fuji no Hana Monogatari - Great Wisteria Festival 2026, taking place from April 11 to May 20.

The "Fuji no Hana Monogatari" offers an enchanting experience as the wisteria blooms transform the park into a sea of stunning purple shades. Visitors can admire various types of wisteria, including the rare and unique "Yae Kokuryu Fuji."

Over 5,000 azaleas in vibrant colors also create a breathtaking display, adding even more beauty to the scene.
As the sun sets, the garden comes alive with a magical light-up event, casting a dreamlike glow over the flowers.
