Description

Osaka Tenmangu Shrine was built in 949 at the behest of Emperor Murakami. The current main building was rebuilt in 1843. The deity worshipped here is the god of scholarship, Michizane Sugawara, and many students studying to get into high school pray for good results at this shrine.
