Many people consider Kyoto and Tokyo, where you can experience Japanese culture, as popular places to visit. But did you know Japan is also one of the world’s leading ski destinations?
Many of Japan’s ski resorts have long been chosen for their high-quality powder snow. And now that Japan lifted its travel ban, many ski resorts have been seeing a surge in reservations from abroad. Thanks to a great sense of openness while also avoiding packed conditions, the snow season is an experience that both seasoned and novice skiers alike should enjoy on their next trip to Japan.
Many ski resorts offer lift tickets with discounted rates when purchased in advance. Their types and prices vary depending on the ski resort and the time of year.
LIVE JAPAN has carefully selected lift tickets for ski resorts throughout Japan that are now offering great deals.
Some have a limited number of tickets available, so be sure to purchase now and enjoy skiing, snowboarding, and other snow activities at a discount!
(*Tickets are issued by our trusted partner, SURF & SNOW. If Japanese text is displayed after viewing the deals, please tap the globe icon to switch the language.)
A must when visiting in winter! Why foreign visitors love Japanese ski resorts

Japan is one of the world’s snowiest countries and its slopes offer up legendary powder. Since 70% of the country is mountainous, there are many snow resorts where you can enjoy a variety of courses, making it popular among skiers and snowboarders from all over the world.
But that’s not all the snow culture offers - the onsen baths are exceptional! After enjoying the slopes, you’ll love soaking your body in a steamy hot spring bath - the perfect way to relax after a full day out! It’s a unique way to experience Japanese culture to the fullest.
What are lift tickets?

Lifts are what carry passengers up a mountain so that they can then enjoy skiing down. Lifts are a paid service, and to ride them, you will need to purchase a lift ticket. Getting a lift ticket in advance is recommended.
The main advantage of getting lift tickets at this time of year is the special early-bird discount, which lets you to get up to 48% off the regular price.
Because lift tickets have open dates, you can be flexible with your travel plans.
Which ski resort catches your eye? Get your lift tickets before the early-bird discount period ends!
*After tapping ‘view details’, check the SURF & SNOW page for available dates.
*Early-bird discounts are not available for all ski resorts/lift tickets.
*Lift ticket sales times vary from resort to resort; some may not display lift tickets.
