1. Wednesday Alice Tokyo Store: Take a wonderful photo, like Alice in Wonderland!
Let’s start with “Alice Tokyo Store on Wednesday,” which sells cute and mysterious sweets, accessories, and miscellaneous goods. It’s a 5-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station and a 3-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Meiji-Jingumae Station. Go through the small door and find yourself in a cute and strange wonderland!
The shop’s exterior and interior, and the products on display are all inspired by Alice in Wonderland You can even see the Cheshire Cat through the keyhole of the outside door. And while you’re exploring, like Alice, enjoy some shopping!
The store has three floors, and the stairs and platforms between floors are wonderful photo spots. The mushroom and caterpillar characters are on the first and second floor.
If you take a picture from the top of the stairs, the subject will look like a small Alice! The dark colors and lighting create a fantastic atmosphere.
A series of framed images are lined up on the walls by the stairs leading from the second to the third floor. Checkout the Cheshire Cat picture frame here.
The eyes of the Cheshire Cat will follow you from any angle. Enjoy this magic trick that allows you to take a perfect picture of the Cat from anywhere.
The theme of the second floor is “Red Queen,” and there is also a red heart-shaped chair to pose for pictures.
On the third floor, you will find a big hat chandelier. You will find plenty of Alice-inspired accessories, goods, and spots in which to take pictures, in the store. Enjoy your shopping, while exploring all the secrets of the store.

2. Princess one Spoon: The wish of the princess is granted!
Next one up Princess One Spoon Tokyo. This is a princess-themed concept shop located about 1 minute walking from the Takeshita Exit of the JR Harajuku Station and a 3-minute walk from Exit 5 of Tokyo Metro Meiji Jingumae Station.
“Sleeping on everyone’s heart a princess’s wish for a teaspoon” .... No matter how old, a girl always dreams to be a princess. The store theme is all about fantasy princesses. The tower clock in front of the store is always set at 11:59 so that the magic never ends.
As you go up the tower, you can even see real glass shoes. Inside the store, you can buy a bunch of candy and accessories with a “nowadays princess” vibe.
There are plenty of picture-perfect spots in the store. The chair, decorated with gold motifs, creates a luxurious environment, combined with smart lighting.
There's a very charming corner lined with framed pictures and lit by gorgeous chandeliers for on-the-go pictures.
This mirror has a princess tiara printed on it, so you can shoot a princess-like selfie.
It may seem to be hard to shoot a selfie in the right position, at first, but keep trying, and become a princess of the fables.

3. Sakura Tei: Artistic, colorful walls
Sakura Teiis an okonomiyaki restaurant introducing a fusion of “food and art.” The restaurant is an 8-minute walk from JR Harajuku Station and a 5-minute walk from Exit 5 of Tokyo Metro/Meiji Jingumae Station. It’s located in an area called “Ura-Harajuku,” straight down from Takeshita Street.
“Sakura Tei” is in the heart of Harajuku Art Village, where the “Design Festa Gallery” is. Both the interior and the exterior of the shops are covered in colorful art.
This is the left wall by the entrance. It’s colorful enough to be a good picture spot in any outfit. The pictures by the walls of the entrance change regularly. Every visit will be a new experience.
The building in which the store is located is dressed as an old private house. In this corner of the city, you can enjoy the fusion of trees and nature, and art.
The inside of the store as well is full of colorful artistic works on walls and pillars.
While waiting for the okonomiyaki and teppanyaki, you will surely be able to take amazing pictures, and social media snapshots, no matter where you’re sitting. There is even a corner where up and coming young artists and students can exhibit their works, and where you can find a lot of fresh talents. Enjoy the delicious food and great art at will.

4. Omotesando Hills: An amazing open space and modern stairwell
Now we’ll take a look at the large stairwell in Omotesando Hills. The building itself has 12 floors, with six of them below ground, and six above. The stories from the basement to the 3rd floor are an ample atrium space with spiral slopes all around.
In particular, the enormous staircase connecting the 3rd basement level with the 1st floor is a great photo spot from which to capture the creative space of Omotesando Hills. You can also try different angles and directions to capture different vibes and forms.
The look of the decorations changes depending on the season and events, so take your beautiful, unique pictures when you visit.

5. Harajuku's Takeshita Street: The iconic photo spot that captures the spirit of Harajuku!
Last but not least is Takeshita Street, a must-see sightseeing spot in Harajuku. The entrance is a popular photo spot that is always full of tourists taking pictures. The screen panel installed on the pillars sometimes shows that image right back at the people taking pictures.
The colorful balloon pop art is also part of the kawaii culture in Harajuku. The design of the balloon art changes depending on the season, making it fun to visit and see something different every time. Takeshita Street is full of shops of all kinds. Take a lot of pictures for yourself and to share on social media, and enjoy the shopping.
