Osaka has several season-exclusive fruit-picking activities to enjoy. Osaka strawberry-picking farms, in particular, are extremely popular. You pick the unique Japanese strawberries in the fields to eat – it doesn’t get fresher than this.
Strawberry picking in Osaka is available from winter to spring and is an activity you can’t miss! Here are ten strawberry farms in the Kansai region that offer prime all-you-can-eat Japanese strawberries.
1. Strawberry Farm Haru (Osaka): All-You-Can-Eat 'Asuka Ruby' Strawberries for 60 Min.
Strawberry Farm Haru in Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture, offers 60 minutes of all-you-can-eat of the bright red “Asuka Ruby” brand strawberry.
The strawberries are easy to pick since they use elevated cultivation containers, and you don’t have to worry about getting dirty since the soil is contained above the floor. You can use scissors to pick the strawberries carefully.
Strawberry Farm Haru also offers cake and ice cream, so you can use the picked strawberries as toppings. Additionally, they have chocolate sauce and condensed milk that you can garnish your strawberries with, and they even have free drinks. What more could you want?

2. GrandBerry (Osaka): 30-Minute All-You-Can-Eat Juicy 'Akihime' Brand Strawberries
GrandBerry in Yao City, Osaka, is located near Osaka City and also a 10-minute walk from the closest station, Onji Station. To enter the picking grounds, you will have to wear slippers (adorable). The floor is even covered with a sheet to prevent dust from blowing up on the strawberries.
Here you can enjoy the “Akihime” brand, which gets juicier and sweeter the colder it gets. The strawberries are cultivated at a height where children can easily pick them. They offer 30 minutes of all-you-can-eat strawberries that are carefully grown.

3. Strawberry Farm No.15 (Osaka): Pick Japanese Strawberries Picking at the Large Garden
Located inside a garden center, The Farm UNIVERSAL OSAKA, is Strawberry Farm No.15, by the Farm UNIVERSAL OSAKA. They offer a style where you can pick as much as you want to take home, and you can pick from the three brands of “Akihime,” “Beni Hoppe,” and “Oi C Berry.”
Once you pay 440 yen (tax inc.) to enter, you will first try the samples* and find the flavor you like; after that, you can start picking.
There is no time limit, so you take your time picking. It’s not all-you-can-eat, but you can take home the picked strawberries for 4yen/1g + tax. The service ends when they run out of strawberries, so we recommend going early in the morning. They also have a cafe that offers strawberry parfait and drinks.

Kafuka Strawberry Farm is a large strawberry farm in Shiga Prefecture that cultivates about 35,000 strawberries. They offer 45 minutes of all-you-can-eat strawberries with free chocolate sauce and condensed milk. Their parking lot is spacious and large buses can park there.
The facility is barrier-free, so people in wheelchairs and families with strollers can enjoy Osaka strawberry picking. You can pick the “Akihime” brand, and at the direct shop, they sell “Akihime” and “Beni Hoppe.”

5. Berry Fields (Nara): 30 Minutes All-You-Can-Eat Nara Brand 'Nara Akari', 'Kotoka', 'Nanoka' Strawberries
“Berry Fields Shimomura” offers 30 minutes of all-you-can-eat Nara brand strawberries. You can enjoy “Kotoka” with a rich flavor and high sugar content, as well as a new variety called “Nanoka” and “Nara Akari.” (Ony one or two varieties may be available at the time of picking, depending on the condition of the strawberries.)
Kotoka is especially rare and an expensive strawberry that is hard to acquire. When you take a bite the sweetness and the right amount of sourness will fill your mouth. After the staff is finished with their explanation, take the scissors and plastic bag and you are ready to start picking. Enjoy your picking!

6. Shigisan Nodokamura Farm (Nara): 30 Minutes All-You-Can-Eat Various Ripe Japanese Strawberries
Shigisan Nodokamura Farm offers over 30 types of fruit picking throughout the year. For strawberry picking in Nara, they offer a 30 minutes all-you-can-eat course with “Kotoka,” a Nara brand strawberry that has the right sugar content, sourness, and aroma, “Asuka Ruby,” and “Akihime” (variety available depends on the day).
No reservation is required, and it will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Numbered tickets will be issued if crowded.
The facility has a day campsite and a barbeque house where they provide the equipment.
Other popular activities are gathering eggs in a pen with 500 to 600 chickens and the mini-farm with goats and sheep. They also have classes where you can experience making jams, konjac, and soba (reservations preferred). If you contact them, they will provide a shuttle bus to Kintetsu Bus Shigisanmon Bus Stop.

7. Kishigawa Tourism Strawberry Hunting Association (Wakayama): All-You-Can-Eat Strawberry Picking with No Time Limit!
Fruit kingdom Kinokawa City Wakayama Prefecture is thriving with strawberry cultivation. Here you can enjoy all-you-can-eat sweet large strawberries with no time limit. They use biotechnology to cultivate the strawberry “Marihime,” a Wakayama Prefecture original brand.
Since there is no time limit, you can take your time and pick strawberries. Please enjoy picking plump strawberries at Kinokawa City, which has been blessed with great climate and soil. Also, at the closest station (Kishi Station), you might see the cat station master “Tama.”

At Vegetable Garden, you can enjoy a magical strawberry-picking experience in Shiga in an illuminated environment. During the day, it is a bright and warm room, and at night they use illumination to create a romantic atmosphere to enjoy strawberry picking.

Gojo City, located on the border of Nara Prefecture, Osaka Prefecture and Wakayama Prefecture is the home of “ADAMINE Plateau Farm.” It is located 200m above sea level and they offer strawberry pickings in Nara from winter to spring, and BBQ and athletic activities in summer.
Here you can pick the “Akihime” brand with high sugar content and low sourness. They use elevated cultivation, so it is easy to pick. The farm has various facilities, such as a grassy multipurpose open space and a direct shop that sells strawberries and shiitake mushrooms.

10. GREENARIUM Awajishima (Hyogo): Picnic Under Floating Strawberries!
At “GREENARIUM Awajishima,” they have a unique strawberry picking experience in Hyogo. They offer the “Strawberry Picnic,” where you can have a picnic under the strawberries after you are done picking.
They have a cultivation shelf that moves up and down, one of the only few in the world, and it gives the illusion that the strawberries floating.
If you purchase the Strawberry Picnic coupon, you can rent items for picnics for free and receive one pack of strawberries. At the counter in front of the facility, you can purchase sweets and coffee for your strawberries. If you want to experience strawberry picking, you can ask the staff and purchase what you picked.
