Osaka Night Life: 6 Osaka Clubs Getting the Party Started
- Written by: WESTPLAN
Osaka night life is where it's at, given that the city has multiple party districts! Nightlife in Osaka tends to focus around the "Kita" (north) area around Umeda, and the "Minami" (south) area around Dotonbori and Shinsaibashi.
Particularly around Minami, you can find a jumping Osaka night life scene, where there is a wide variety of spots: from smaller shop-like bars to famous venues.
For travelers who want to go clubbing but don't know where to go, here are four of the best clubs in Osaka that tourists and locals love!

1. CLUB PICCADILLY: World-Class Nightlife

We’ll start by introducing two clubs in the Kita area. The first is Club Piccadilly Umeda Osaka, which was established on the former site of the Umeda Piccadilly movie theater. Ranked in DJ Mag’s prestigious TOP 100 CLUBS, it became the first club in the Kansai region to earn a spot among the world’s top venues.

CLUB PICCADILLY is one of Osaka’s most renowned clubs, regularly hosting international guest DJs. With top-quality sound and lighting, its massive floor can accommodate over 1,000 people—perfect for losing yourself in the music.
After a period of renewal, it reopened with a grand launch on February 28, 2025.

Another highlight of CLUB PICCADILLY UMEDA OSAKA is its professional dancer showcases. On Fridays, “Novel” delivers street-style performances, while Saturdays feature “new Order,” where pole dancers add even more intensity to the floor. Blending music, visuals, lighting, and dance, the shows create a circus-like spectacle you won’t want to miss.

3. MAHARAJA MINAMI: Step Into the 80s

For those who say, “I don’t want to give up club culture, no matter my age!” MAHARAJA MINAMI in the South area answers that call. Originally a driving force of Japan’s 1980s disco boom, MAHARAJA made its comeback here in 2017 after 25 years.
With mirror balls, a stage for dancers, and décor reminiscent of the bubble-era 80s, it’s been updated with LED panels and modern tech. If you’re looking for a club with a different vibe, this is the place.

When disco hits like Earth, Wind & Fire’s September or Boys Town Gang’s Can’t Take My Eyes Off You fill the air, you’ll feel transported back to the 70s–90s.
But it’s not just about nostalgia. Alongside those who lived the era, plenty of younger visitors also gather here, creating a space where music bridges generations.

Alongside Monaking, CLUB Ammona welcomes a wide range of guest DJs. In the past, Redfoo from LMFAO brought the crowd to its peak with an unforgettable set.
