We visited this place on November 29th. Keep in mind that it can get very crowded here in the fall. The temple is located on a hill so you have to climb a few natural stone steps to see everything...Visited November 2024 -

We went early to Jojakkoji and were rewarded with beautiful scenery and most of the place to ourselves which is rare in Arashiyama/Saga area. The view is outstanding. Plan to spend time here just...Visited April 2023
