Muroran Glamping is an exclusive glamping resort with an adjoining golf course that only allows two groups to stay on any one day. It is about an hour's drive from New Chitose Airport, and popular tourist spots Noboribetsu Onsen and Lake Toya can also be reached in about 30 minutes.

The main and secondary domes are complete with comfortable Simmons mattresses. In the glamping dome not only will you find furniture like tables and sofas, but every detail gives an air of luxury, right down to the stylish dishes and cutlery.

Ingredients for breakfast and dinner are available on-site, too, so you don't need to bring your own. In the dome tent, there is a fridge stocked with seven types of drinks as well as bottled beer and Chu-hai, which are prepared to reflect the number of people staying at no extra charge. You can also order bottled wine and other alcohol on site, but you are not allowed to bring your own.

There is a French restaurant at the golf course, and dinner for glamping guests is prepared by the same chef. But you can also get meat and other ingredients (including dessert) for some light cooking of your own.

For breakfast, as well as a pre-prepared pot-au-feu, you can get ham, sausages, bread, and other delicious items brought to you at your desired time. That way, you can easily enjoy an outdoor breakfast simply by warming it up or cooking it for yourself.

You can also use the daiyokujo (large shared bathing spa) at the golf course during opening hours, and you can use the shower room 24 hours a day.

The sinks are large and easy to use, and there is a powder room in the daiyokujo.

Although on-site services are only available in Japanese, the staff are happy to welcome non-Japanese speakers using translation apps or other translation equipment.

When staying at Muroran Glamping, you can enjoy a spot of golf or visit Muroran's famous scenic area, Cape Chikyu, and make the most of Hokkaido's natural scenes.

Here you'll find "jubako" (literally "dwelling box"), which provides the comfort of a hotel while allowing you to experience an open-air setting amongst nature.

AKAIGAWA TOMO PLAYPARK can be reached by car in about an hour and 50 minutes from New Chitose Airport, about one hour from Otaru Old Town, and about 30 minutes from Niseko.

You can get to Takibi Camp in about 20 minutes by car from Niseko and Lake Toyako. And the camp was designed under the concept of "empty-handed camping," meaning there is no need to set up or clean up.

In addition to their tents and "container houses," there are two types of large domed tents called glamping domes.

One of the glamping domes has a stylish atmosphere complete with antique furniture (Photo courtesy of Takibi Camp)
The other glamping dome takes on a northern European feel with an "upstairs" loft. Very stylish indeed (Photo courtesy of Takibi Camp)

In both types of glamping dome, you'll find two double beds, and each room can accommodate up to four people. There is also a projector that can project video onto the side of the dome so that you can stream your favorite shows onto the dome itself. Both dome types also have outdoor decks and outdoor kitchenettes to enjoy a bonfire or barbecue.

Here you can cook your own meals for that coveted camping experience. You can bring your own ingredients, or you can buy camping ingredients on-site, including local vegetables and a variety of meats for barbecuing.

Cooking utensils and tableware are free to borrow, and charcoal and grill grids are included in the glamping dome accommodation fee, too. Staff can also teach you recipes for the perfect camp experience.

Coffee makers and equipment for toasted sandwiches can also be lent out (Photo courtesy of Takibi Camp)

In the "center house," there is a women's shower room and make-up area available from spring to autumn.

For men, and outside of the above times for women, you can visit Makari Onsen, which is a 5-minute drive away, or book a container house with an indoor shower rather than a glamping dome for 24-hour access to showers.

In addition to Japanese, facilities are also available in English. The official website is also available in English and Chinese, and reservations can be made online.

Experience the camp lifestyle in comfort, while staying close to nature. By the way, depending on the time of year, you can also enjoy farming experiences with neighboring farmers, and get a real sense of the rural lifestyle.

If you're looking for a luxurious glamping stay in eastern Hokkaido, the area home to Tokachi and Lake Akan, Glamping Resort Feriendorf is the place to go. While staying in a glamping cottage or tent, you can make the most of the lavish outdoor meals created with local ingredients.

Rent a car at Tochibihiro Airport, and you'll reach the site in just a 15-minute drive, so you can start enjoying the natural sights as soon as possible.

The cottages are dotted around the spacious woodland (Photo courtesy of Glamping Resort Feriendorf)

A German architect designed the cottages to reflect 20th-century German-style homes. From the walls and floors to the furniture and tableware, everything is overflowing with creative design, and you'll end up snapping photos of every corner of the cottage.

Some buildings are tailored to different themes, such as a country theme and a medieval Europe theme. Each cottage is equipped with a kitchen and bathroom and such, making for a very comfortable stay. There is also a hot tub and a relaxing sauna on-site (scheduled to open in mid-July 2022).

Meals include meat and vegetables, eggs and cheese, and most of the dishes made with local ingredients. For dinner, choose between a barbecue or a shabu-shabu.

Both involve ingredients such as pork, chicken, lamb, and vegetables, and they will be brought for you to cook them whenever you like.

You can choose between Japanese or Western breakfast at the on-site restaurant, or get a toasted sandwich set to grill for yourself in the cottage. There is also a store on-site selling meat, alcohol, and desserts, so you don't have to worry if you forgot to buy something or want anything extra.
