1. Hotel Universal Port: Featuring Character-themed Suites
Hotel Universal Port is just a three-minute walk from JR Universal City Station.
Upon entering the hotel, you'll be greeted by a playful theme of a city destroyed by a monster, setting the stage for the excitement to come. Continue to the "T-Rex Entertainment Place," where you'll find a lounge with dinosaurs hanging from the ceiling.
The lobby alone is thrilling, but the guest suites offer an even more dream-like experience. Themed rooms include the Minions Room, the Girly Room styled like a large home wardrobe, and the Party Room with large in-floor tables and bunk beds. This variety of themed suites is one of the hotel's major attractions.
Additionally, the hotel features one of only two Universal Studio Stores among all the hotels, where you can purchase park souvenirs.
Japan's First USJ Collaboration Suite - The "Minions Room"
The "Minions Room" is a favorite among guests, created in collaboration with Universal Studios Japan. Opened in 2016, this room is inspired by Gru's house from the Despicable Me movie series.
Highlights include a missile-shaped bed and a crocodile sofa, both iconic elements from the movie. The suite is filled with fun details, like holes in the walls and ceiling made to look as if they were caused by the mischievous minions.
Don't forget to snap a selfie with the minion drawn on the mirror! This whimsical room is sure to be a hit with your family.
In 2017, The "Minions Room 2" Made Its Debut!
Following the success of the first suite, the "Minions Room 2" opened in 2017. This room is a faithful recreation of the three sisters' room from the Despicable Me movie series.
The suite features a missile-shaped bed from the children's room in the movies, a large pink bear-shaped chair, and a door attached to the bunk bed through which Minions will talk to you. Every corner of the room is designed to transport you into the world of the movie.
Both the Minions Room and the Minions Room 2 include exclusive Minions-themed laundry bags and amenity pouches, adding a special touch to your stay.
For a High-class Experience, Visit the Port Deep Ocean Floor
On the top floor of the hotel is the Port Deep Ocean Floor, designed to resemble a city deep beneath the sea. The bright guest rooms, decorated in blue and white, mimic underwater houses and offer an extra touch of luxury.
Among the five types of rooms, the "Premium Palace" is the largest and offers a stunning view of Universal Studios Japan through a large window. The park's lights create a beautiful, sparkling scene at night.

2. Hotel Kintetsu Universal City: Welcomed by popular parkers
At Hotel Kintetsu Universal City, you can find USJ Park's "Sesame Street" characters on every floor.
Located within the "Universal City Walk Osaka" shopping complex, the hotel features guest rooms with interior designs themed around four elements: outer space, water, the sun, and fire.
Rooms on the 14th floor and above offer views of the park. The "Corner Family Studio View Rooms," situated at the four corners of the square building, provide a magnificent view of the entire park through floor-to-ceiling windows. (Note that not all views are directly of the park.)
Enjoy a Jam-Packed "Sesame Street" Experience!
The "Universal Uki-uki Lucky Floor," produced in collaboration with USJ and opened in February 2019, offers a cheerful atmosphere styled to resemble a lively town. The four types of guest rooms are uniquely designed around Sesame Street characters.
"Elmo's Happy Room" is a vibrant, red-hued space featuring Elmo, combining modern design with playful elements. In the "Sesame Street Pajama Party Room," you'll find characters depicted in their pajamas, a sight you won't see in the park. Other themed rooms include the "Sesame Street Marching Band Room" and "Moppy's Lucky Room," allowing guests to enjoy a dream-like experience fully immersed in the world of Sesame Street.
Experience the Excitement of the "Sesame Street" Worldview
On the 15th floor, the "Universal Waku-waku Happy Floor," a collaboration with the park, was opened in 2015 to commemorate the renewal of Universal Wonderland.
As soon as you exit the elevator, you are transported into the world of Sesame Street. The hallways, adorned with images of Sesame Street characters, create a whimsical, alternate universe.
The guest rooms on this floor include three types: the "Sesame Street Big Forest Room," with depictions of giant trees; the "Sesame Street Sky View Room," filled with fluffy clouds; and the "Sesame Street Waku-waku Fun Room," featuring characters playing hide-and-seek. Each room offers a playful experience that captures the magic of USJ.
Get Your Souvenirs at the Official USJ Park Store
Within the hotel, you can also enjoy services exclusive to official hotels. Located on the third floor, which connects to Universal City Walk Osaka, is the USJ official "Universal Studio Store."
This store offers a variety of items sold at USJ, ensuring you won't miss out on souvenirs even if you forget to buy them while at the park. Additionally, the Kansai International Airport Limousine Bus stops right at the hotel, making it convenient to transport your purchases. This service is popular with both domestic and international travelers.

3. The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan: Fun Scenery Everywhere You Look!
The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan is ideally located on the road connecting JR Universal City Station to the USJ park, making it the closest official hotel to Universal Studios Japan, just a one-minute walk to the main gate.
The hotel's theme, "a trip to the U.S.A.," is reflected in its interior design, which showcases various American regions, including New York, Los Angeles, and Hawaii. In addition to its guest rooms, the hotel features six stores, including a USJ restaurant, a cafe, a dessert shop, and a convenience store, providing guests with a variety of dining and shopping options.
Be Transported to America through the Entrance and Guest Rooms
From the time-travel tunnel-themed elevator hall, guests enter a beautifully glowing, time machine-like elevator, transporting them to guest rooms themed around different decades of 20th-century America.
For instance, the “Standard” rooms on the 4th to 7th floors are inspired by the southern U.S. in the 1900s, featuring chic and warm interior design. The hotel offers a range of services for children, including a kids-only photo spot in the New York Lobby, where they can take photos similar to those with the Time Travel Concierge.
Children can also receive free kids' passports to collect stamps and earn novelty gifts. Additionally, the hotel boasts a unique Universal Globe at the entrance, a 1/6th size replica of the globe in the USJ park, making it a popular photo spot.
The Luxury Floor, Overlooking the Entire USJ Park
The 26th through 28th floors of the hotel comprise the "Luxury Floor," designed with the concept of a futuristic United States of America. Access to these top floors is secured with a private elevator, and guests can enjoy a dedicated Luxury Front Desk for check-in.
The "Park View Rooms" on this floor feature "View Baths," allowing guests to enjoy stunning nighttime views of USJ. These baths include a spacious pool bath and a circular bath, providing a luxurious and relaxing experience.

After passing through the station ticket gate, you'll soon see "Hotel Universal Port Vita," one of the newest official USJ hotels, which opened in August 2018.
True to its concept of "a place that greatly benefits from the sun and from nature," the rooms are characterized by gleaming lights and bright colors. Each suite features the comfort of separated bath and toilet rooms.
In the expansive entrance, a 13.5-meter-high curtain of light glitters from the ceiling, creating a stunning visual effect. The second-floor front desk is a dynamic orange color, reminiscent of the sun, adding to the hotel's vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
A Full Range of Rooms Based on Cheerful Design Concepts to Brighten Your Day
One of the hotel's appealing features is the variety of rooms available to suit different travel styles.
One unique option is the "Cozy Maisonette Room," a rare maisonette-style room designed for guests to feel comfortable going barefoot. The lower floor features a row of adjoining low beds where everyone can relax together, while the upper floor is equipped with a sink and microwave.
Other themed rooms include the pink and silver-toned "Sparkling Corner Room," the "Starry Room" inspired by a starry night sky, and the "Rainbow Room," which contains three bunk beds and can accommodate up to six people. The upper floors offer even more options, including the hotel's largest room, the extravagant "Spark Room," which contains four beds.
