Mimaru Kyoto Station: The best 'Pokemon hotel' for sightseeing!
Mimaru Kyoto Station is popular for several reasons. Located a mere 2 minutes away from JR Kyoto Station (Hachijo East Exit), it makes the perfect base for your trip. It is designed to feel less like a hotel, and more like a "home away from home."
Their modern Japanese rooms are spacious (over 40 square meters), non-smoking, and have a fully-equipped kitchen with dishes and cooking utensils.
Since meals are not included in the accommodation plan, you can buy some local Kyoto ingredients at the market and prepare your own favorite meals! Free WiFi is available throughout the building, and laundry is available at an extra cost. It's the perfect hotel for a long-term stay, and it's got great access to Kyoto sightseeing spots!
Pokemon Room at Mimaru Kyoto Station: Complete with a Giant Snorlax!
As soon as you enter the Pokemon Room, you will be greeted by your lovable roommate - a giant snorlax doll! The dining room and bedroom are decorated with Pokeball-themed wallpaper, and the dishes in the kitchen sport a matching Pokeball design.
Pokemon and Pokeballs are hidden in just about every detail of this room. Can you find your favorite?
Prices for the Pokemon Room begin at 22,000 yen per night.
Limited-edition Pokémon souvenirs for hotel guests!
Guests who stay at this Pokemon Room in Kyoto will also receive original limited-edition Pokemon goods! Souvenirs include one original drawstring purse, one welcome card, and two original hand towels (per room).
You won't find these goodies anywhere else. That's just another reason why fans will love staying here!
A Variety of Rooms for the Whole Family!
There are a variety of other great rooms available at Mimaru. The standard Family Apartment style room accommodates up to 5 people and has a separate bed and living space.
The City View room looks over the Kyoto cityscape and the railway. The Garden View room looks out on the veranda and its Japanese garden. Finally, the Connecting Room, as its name suggests, connects two rooms together, and can accommodate up to 10 people.
Of course, there are also studio and double-bedroom accommodations, great for family sightseeing trips and outings with friends.
The Family Apartment starts at 15,000 yen per room per night, the City View and Garden View Family Apartments start at 17,000 yen per room per night, and the Connecting Apartment starts at 30,000 yen per room per night. It's a bargain, considering how close it is to Kyoto Station!
The Deluxe Family Apartment is perfect for large families and groups
If you are traveling with 5 or more people, we recommend the Deluxe Family Apartment. This spacious room can accommodate up to 8 people and offers a panoramic view of the Kyoto cityscape and Kyoto Station.
It includes 4 single beds, 1 bunk bed, and 2 sofa beds. The Deluxe Family Apartment starts from 28,000 yen per room per night.
