Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama Is The New Gorgeous Getaway Beside Japan's Largest Lake
- Written by: Timothy Sullivan
These days, many of us are searching for a quiet getaway surrounded by natural scenery - but we don't want to leave behind hotel-like comforts while enjoying the outdoors. Amenity-filled glamping resorts have been popping up around Japan to help answer this need!
Just east of Kyoto, on the shores of Lake Biwa - Japan's largest lake - a new glamping resort called Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama is expected to open in September 2021. Let's take a look at what makes this resort shine!
Concept: Luxury glamping on the shores of Lake Biwa
Known for its serene settings, Lake Biwa is a popular tourist destination, especially in the warm months. Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama positions itself for people who want to enjoy the outdoors without roughing it.
As each guest room is fitted with a private bathroom and toilet, you can enjoy your privacy with peace of mind. Each room is also air-conditioned for all-season comfort.
A total of 10 glamping tents are offered at Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama, including three dome-style tents and even two with a private pool! In fact, the facility offers hotel-like comforts that you'll love, like a private onsen bath that you can reserve, a private garden and fire pit for each room, and even a community bar that offers free drinks.
The location is also nearby Imazuhama Beach, where you can enjoy wading in Lake Biwa, and the Kosai Pine Forest, which was selected as one of the 100 Best Views of Lake Biwa. It's a relaxing area to enjoy away from the hustle and bustle of the cities.
Food at Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama
Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama is particular about using local ingredients from Shiga, and offers a luxurious glamping plan that includes a barbecue with fresh local vegetables and Omi beef steak. Under another plan, you may choose to bring your own ingredients for grilling. With covered barbecue spaces set up at each tent, you can enjoy a meal at your leisure and some marshmallows afterward - even when the weather turns for the worse.
Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama also offers hands-on experiences, including a smoked food experience and making popcorn over a bonfire. It's a wonderful chance to enjoy the outdoors!
Indulge yourself with these other luxurious perks!
Glamping Village Shiga Imazuhama really is about the luxury factor. So that you can enjoy some rest and relaxation, there's even a natural private onsen that you can reserve!
Also, one of the tents on site is fitted out as a common space. Here you'll find complimentary free-flow beer and wine, available from 6 pm until 9 pm.
In addition, a range of amenities is prepared so that guests can feel at home - even outdoors! Towels, pajamas, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, and more are all provided for your stay. You'll love having the comfort and elegance of a hotel even while you're glamping - truly luxurious!
