Mr. Sasayama added, “Not only for umbrellas, but many people also use the stand as a case for holding small items. And, in addition to the original white stands, black ones have been recently added to the series.”

The reason why it’s so popular lies in the simple design and the fact that it can be used in various ways.

The diatomite toothbrush stand is a product that has high moisture-absorbing properties. This allows you to be at ease when placing it in any wet or damp areas including around the bathroom sink. Also, it elevates your toothbrush and keeps it sturdily in place once inside the stand.

Mr. Sasayama commented, “Our series of diatomite products are very popular, with the most popular being the toothbrush stand.”

Other than toothbrushes, it also conveniently holds your razor. The stand is sold both on the third and fourth floor of the store.

Due to the holes being quite small, pieces of trash tend to get stuck in the garbage disposals of sinks. The garbage disposal strainer is the perfect item for when you have this problem.

If you put this gadget inside your garbage disposal, it firmly traps any trash and hair. Furthermore, the mesh material prevents any trash from getting stuck in the pipe.

“The fine mesh material prevents small items such as contact lenses from going into the pipes,” mentioned Mr. Sasayama. It’s attached with a top to hide the dirt that is caught inside the strainer.

Because it comes in packs of three, you can easily exchange the strainer once you notice that the water flow has slowed down. What’s more, it can be used for long periods of time by regularly cleaning the inside.

This item is made to be used in very humid areas such as the bathroom. No matter how much you clean, new mold seems to grow. For these situations, we recommend mold stain prevention masking tape.

It’s perfect to use after cleaning your bathroom or around your windows. This item is a soft, easy-to-stick-on masking tape that can be used just by putting it on the place where you want to prevent mold.

Mr. Sasayama explained, “Once the tape gets dirty, all you have to do is take it off and stick on a new piece. The tape has antifungal properties, making it hard for mold to grow.” There is a selection of different sizes and colors, so you can choose one depending on the place you want to use it.

Closet rods are convenient to hang your clothes on. However, once clothes are taken off, the hooks on the rod are somewhat of an eyesore. The clear multi-hook is an item that sticks onto the wall and can support a pole or rod.

This is an excellent item that doesn’t stand out because it’s clear and has water and heat-resistant properties. Plus, as long as you have a flat surface, you can use it in areas such as the kitchen and bathroom. When you want to remove the hooks, the adhesive side comes off easily.

Mr. Sasayama commented, “This product became a hit on social media because the clear hook easily blends into any room. It’s perfect for supporting clothing rods, but in the case that you only want to use one, it’s also great for hangers or spray bottles.”

One hook can withstand one kilogram, and two hooks can withstand two kilograms.

This is a cleaning tool that you roll on your tatami mat (a flooring material used in traditional Japanese rooms) or carpet to collect lint with adhesive tape. Once the adhesive tape becomes dirty, you can peel it off and throw it away.

However, it can sometimes be frustrating not knowing where the edge of a roll of tape starts. Adhesive roller spare tape is specifically a spare adhesive tape for roller cleaners. As advertised, it's cut diagonally, which helps you easily peel it from the roller once it becomes dirty.

Mr. Sasayama recommended this spectacular item stating, “The edge of the roll of tape is easy to find, and it’s super easy to peel away. If you have ever struggled with tape that asks you to tear along a line, I highly recommend trying this item.”

In Japan, you need to sort your trash into categories such as burnable and plastics. Truthfully, it’s burdensome to prepare several different trash cans for each category. An item that comes in handy in times like these are trash bag clips (two per pack).

Another great quality is that you don’t need to prepare any special type of trash bag and can use ones from the convenience store.

Mr. Sasayama told us, “All you have to do is put the two bags side by side and insert the clip. The edge is shaped so that it holds the bags firmly to prevent any slippage.” It can be used on trash cans that have a width up to 10 millimeters.

The insect repellent cap for air conditioner and drain hoses is a useful item that prevents insects such as cockroaches from getting inside. No matter how careful you are, insects tend to find their way into the home. Surprisingly, they can find their way inside from the air conditioner and drain hoses.

Mr. Sasayama added, “It’s easy because you just plug it into your air conditioner’s hose. There are many kinds, so you can choose one that would fit best with the diameter of your hose.” Surprisingly, insects making their way in from outdoor hoses is quite common. This is something you want to firmly prevent.

Deodorizing plastic bags for diapers (40 bags per pack) can be used when disposing of dirty diapers. These bags have deodorizing properties and are great for eliminating any strong smell!

What’s more, not limited to diapers, they can be used for many purposes such as getting rid of food scraps in the summertime.

“With strong deodorizing properties, it’s great for disposing of items with a strong smell such as training pads for pets and food scraps,” said Mr. Sasayama. Because it comes in three sizes, you can choose the bags depending on your intended use.

The mini portable toilet is a reassuring item to have during vacation season when you need to use the bathroom and there's heavy traffic. Absorbent polymer quickly solidifies urine that you can keep in a zipper bag.

It comes conveniently with a black plastic bag for when you want to throw it away. Mr. Sasayama pointed out, “Because it’s made with an absorbent polymer that has no artificial coloring, you can easily tell the state of the urine in the bag. This is great when you are taking care of someone and have to know the state of their health.”

It is a high-quality item that's made in Japan. Many people also buy it to add to their emergency kits.

The DAISO Shinsaibashisuji 2-chome Store is on Shinsaibashisuji shopping street close to both Osaka Metro’s Shinsaibashi Station and Namba Station. It’s the perfect place to stop by when shopping around this famous street where approximately 180 shops can be found.

DAISO is located on the second to fourth floors of a building. With all registers located on the second floor, it’s possible to pay with UnionPay cards and credit cards. All of the store’s signs are in Japanese, but you can find information in English and Portuguese on the product tags.

Some items are more than 110 yen, but it’s still incredibly reasonable when taking into consideration that the market price for similar products at other shops are from 1,000 yen to 2,000 yen. Because there are some that sell out immediately, we recommend purchasing items as soon as you find one you like.
