Alternatively, between June and mid-September, the special "Furano-Biei Norokko-go" train operates between Asahikawa and Furano. This train includes a stop at the Lavender Farm Station, which is only a 7-minute walk away from Farm Tomita.

The optimal time to visit Farm Tomita is from late June to early August, as this is when the garden's flowers are in full bloom, creating a vibrant and colorful spectacle.

For lavender enthusiasts, the peak period to witness the captivating sight of hills adorned with a purple carpet is usually in mid to late July. Ensure not to miss this period if you plan on experiencing this picturesque view.

Please note that from late June to early August, the road leading to Farm Tomita tends to be congested. If you're planning to drive, it is advisable to arrange your travel plans well in advance. Alternatively, we recommend opting for the train as it offers a smoother and more convenient mode of transportation.

Farm Tomita boasts three expansive lavender fields. The standout among them is the Traditional Lavender Field, which serves as both the representative field and the initial focal point of Farm Tomita's history. In mid-July, the gentle slope of this field becomes adorned with a breathtaking display of vibrant purple flowers. From the hilltop vantage point, one can gaze down upon the awe-inspiring Tokachi Mountain range and take in the picturesque rural landscape of the Furano Basin, stretching far beyond the captivating expanse of the purple carpet.

Beyond the Traditional Lavender Field, you'll discover the Lavender Forest Field, situated further along the hill. This field showcases two distinct types of lavender: the Noushi Hayazaki and the Okamurasaki.

Late June is the prime viewing season for the Noushi Hayazaki lavender, while mid-July is the optimal time to witness the bloom of the Okamurasaki variety. A strikingly beautiful contrast emerges as the lavenders intermingle with the lush green foliage of the birch trees crowning the hilltop.

Please note that this section of Farm Tomita is only open during the month of July. To explore the field, you can opt to take the Lavender Bus, which traverses through the breathtaking landscape. The bus fare is 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary school students and younger.

Stretching gracefully across a gentle sloping hill, the Irodori Field captivates with its splendid array of colors. Adjacent to the Sakiwai Field, you'll discover the Spring Field and the Autumn Field, each offering its own unique floral experience. In the Spring Field, an enchanting sight awaits as flowers begin to bloom in mid-May, even amidst the lingering chill. This field is home to a delightful selection of northern flowers, including Iceland poppies and lupine.

These charming blooms grace the landscape alongside the lavender season, creating a picturesque display from late June to early July.

As the Spring Field gradually fades, the Autumn Field comes to life with its vibrant array of flowers. From beach roses to scarlet sage and marigolds, an assortment of captivating blossoms adorns the field until early October, when the first snowfall heralds the onset of winter.

Established in 2017, the Hilltop Field can be found at the peak of the hill within Farm Tomita. This picturesque location showcases a charming assortment of flowers, including mustard flowers, as well as red and white poppies.

In addition to the Hilltop Field, Farm Tomita boasts other flower fields with distinct concepts. For example, the Forest Field creates a stunning contrast between the vibrant flower field and the lush greenery of the surrounding trees. Meanwhile, the Green House offers the opportunity to witness blooming Hokkaido lavender outside of the typical summer season, providing a unique and delightful experience.
