A cafe celebrating the fall premiere of the anime “March Comes in like a Lion,” based on the Chica Umino manga, will be open for business in Marunouchi's KITTE shopping mall (just outside of Tokyo Station) for a limited time starting October 9.
The manga (known as ‘Sangatsu no Lion’ in Japanese) published by magazine Young Animal, has won critical acclaim, including the Kodansha Manga Award in 2011, the Grand Prize of the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2014, and the Da Davinci “Book of the Year 2015” for the comics’ division. An anime series based on the manga will debut in October, and a two-part live action film adaptation is scheduled for spring of 2017.
An Anime Café

The cafe will feature original cuisine replicating the dishes that appear the in cafe in the March Comes in Like a Lion anime, as well as a related decorative motif. Customers can also enjoy a photo spot and scenes from the anime featured in a mini-gallery.

Stewed Pork with Korean-style Vegetables (1680 yen)
Egg Salad Sandwich (1080 yen)
Garlic Toast and Tuna Macaroni Salad (1080 yen)
Ume (Japanese plum) Syrup Fruit Punch Soda (830 yen)
Azuki (sweet red bean) Milk Tea (830 yen)
Anmitsu Dessert (1280 yen)
