Shibuya Scramble Square, opened in November 2019, is a massive complex directly connected to Shibuya Station. At 47 stories and 230 meters tall, it’s one of the tallest buildings in Shibuya.

At the top of the eastern building, you’ll find SHIBUYA SKY—the largest rooftop observatory in Japan. With three distinct sections, it offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Tokyo and is one of the top spots in the city for capturing Mount Fuji in all its glory!

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, towering over Nishi Shinjuku, symbolizes Shinjuku. The building was designed with a modern look by architect Kenzo Tange, and is popular among locals and foreign tourists alike.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Observatory, located on the 45th floor, 202 meters above ground, is divided into a north observatory and a south observatory, both of which overlook Tokyo. The observation room also has a café for you to relax while enjoying views of Mount Fuji.

Sunshine City in Ikebukuro, a district of Tokyo, is a large commercial complex with an aquarium, a planetarium, restaurants and hotels. It consists of five buildings. One of them is the Sunshine 60 Building, with its SKY CIRCUS Sunshine 60 Observatory, located on the top floor.

The view from a height of 251 meters above sea level is a masterpiece in itself, but the view is not the only feature of this deck. Here you can also have a different and unique experience through the use of VR technology.

The Sky Carrot Observation Deck is located at the top of the Carrot Tower in Sangenjaya district of Tokyo. From there, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Tokyo skyline. The deck is also equipped with small sofas that are pointed towards Mount Fuji, allowing visitors to enjoy an even better view of the majestic mountain.

The floor also hosts a restaurant and a cafe, from which you can also see Mount Fuji.

Located on the 52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, next to the Mori Art Museum, is the Roppongi Hills Observatory Tokyo City View. It offers a panoramic view of Tokyo's contemporary art scene.

There is an indoor observatory on the 52nd floor, 250 meters above sea level, and the “Sky Deck,” a rooftop outdoor observatory 270 meters above sea level.

Haneda Airport, the gateway to Japan for domestic and international flights, is also a popular spot for those who like planes.

Get a unique view of planes arriving and departing with Mount Fuji in the background from the Terminal 1 Observation Deck. Here you'll be able to capture stunning shots of takeoffs, landings, and sunsets.

Tokyo Skytree is one of the world's tallest towers, standing tall at 634 meters. From the Tenmoku deck, which is 350 meters above ground, and the Tenbo Corridor, which is 450 meters above ground, you can enjoy a stunning view of Kanto, and on a clear day, you can even see Mount Fuji.

Depending on the weather, the sky below the observation decks could be cloudy or foggy, allowing for a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji peeking over the sea of clouds.

The east, west, and north sides of the 25th floor of the Bunkyo Civic Center, where the Bunkyo Ward Office is located, are open to the public and are a great observation deck. From 105 meters above ground, you can see Mount Fuji on the west side and Shinjuku's skyscrapers; from the east side, you can see Tokyo Skytree.

You can also see Mount Fuji from Kasai Rinkai Park, a metropolitan park facing Tokyo Bay in Edogawa Ward, Tokyo.

This park provides a stunning view of Mount Fuji at sunset. For a unique perspective, take a ride on the “Diamond and Flower Ferris Wheel,” one of Japan's largest.

Built around 800 years ago, the “Tama River Asama Shrine,” is in Denenchofu, Tokyo, and it’s famous for its colorful goshuin temple seals.

Since it’s on a hill, from this Mount Fuji photo spot, you can see Mt. Fuji from the observation deck, and if the time is right, you can capture the nearby Tokyu Toyoko Line train, Tama River, and Mount Fuji in a single picture.
