Description
Enshrines one of Asakusa Meisho Shichifukujin (the seven deities of good fortune of Asakusa), Benzaiten. It is said to benefit business and art and has long been worshipped as the guardian shrine for Yoshiwara Yukaku (red-light district). It also has cenotaphs for earthquake disasters and war damages.
