Description
Founded in 2002 by Kunio Kobayashi, one of the famous bonsai creators representing Japan. It was founded with the wish for more people to know the beauty of bonsai and profoundness of expressing nature within a small pot . There are more than 1,000 large, small and different types of bonsai, each one of them grown by craftsmen with utmost care. You can observe them watering and taking care of bonsai with scissors at certain times. The pond with large swimming carps and Japanese room with seasonal bonsai display are rich in elegant atmosphere. The artistic garden can be viewed from the terrace on the 2nd floor. You can apply for the bonsai lesson by the craftsmen (3,800 JPY per person including an entrance fee). After you learn the basics, you will also be able to learn how to mold shapes with a small bonsai. The lesson will require one hour. You can take your bonsai work home with an additional fee of 2,000 JPY. We would recommend comfortable clothes to be worn for the lesson. Lessons requires booking in advance (Please inquire with us by phone or email at the time of booking info@kunio-kobayashi.com).
Take the No 76 Keisei bus from Koiwa Station on the JR Sobu Line or Mizue Station on the Toei Shinjuku Line, and get off at Keiyoguchi stop.
