The owner chef, Andre Pachon, trained in France and then became the sous-chef in the kitchen of Hotel Mont Gabriel in Montreal, Canada. He came over to Japan in 1970 and built up a career in top class restaurants in Japan. In 1984, he opened his own restaurant. Inside this elegant restaurant there is a fireplace that had been used in an abbey in France since 1690. You can enjoy exquisite course menus for lunch and dinner.

All ingredients, sourced from places across Japan as well as overseas, are carefully selected by the chef after checking and tasting them. The restaurant mainly serves lunch and dinner course menus. A variety of French wines are also available.

Mr. Matsumoto worked as the chef of the famous Au Gout du Jour Merveille restaurant in Nihonbashi for over 10 years. He opened his own restaurant, La paix, in 2014. La paix means peace in French. As the name suggests, its modern Japanese color decor creates a relaxing ambiance. The restaurant serves classic French dishes with a Japanese seasonal flavor. You shouldn't miss the elaborately prepared dishes either. The terrine of foie-gras sandwiched between gaufres is served wrapped in Furoshiki Japanese cloth is a delight for guests.
