Mr. Matsumoto worked as the chef of the famous Au Gout du Jour Merveille restaurant in Nihonbashi for over 10 years. He opened his own restaurant, La paix, in 2014. La paix means peace in French. As the name suggests, its modern Japanese color decor creates a relaxing ambiance. The restaurant serves classic French dishes with a Japanese seasonal flavor. You shouldn't miss the elaborately prepared dishes either. The terrine of foie-gras sandwiched between gaufres is served wrapped in Furoshiki Japanese cloth is a delight for guests.
