Beautiful quiet town and wished we had better weather here to explore more. Temples and shrines are beautiful. Northern Kumano Kodo starts here as well. Lovely mountain spot to relax and contemplate.Visited March 2026

This buddhist retreat nestled in the mountains is a bit off the main tourist track, and therefore not as crowded as more popular sites. The temple buildings are attractive, but the highlight for us...Visited November 2024
