Description
Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine is the head shrine of 3800 branch shrines spread all across Japan. The shrine boasts many important cultural properties including the main East Hall of Worship and the West Hall of Worship. The East Hall is a national treasure while the West Hall which has a sculpture of the divine messenger “Masaru-san”. Other important properties include the Sanno Torii gate that stands on the mountain, and more. The entire grounds of the sanctuary have also been designated as a national historic site.
