The Graceful Character of Hotel Hanamizuki

Hotel Hanamizuki located in Kuwana City Mie Prefecture is the official hotel of Nagashima Resort, which operates facilities like the amusement park Nagashima Spa Land and Nabana no Sato. The quality of services provided by the staff and waitress are well received, and with the high quality and social status, the hotel is used for national event venues.

It also has a very charming name of "Hanamizuki" meaning "Cornus florida​".

In early summer, hanamizuki comes alive with blooming flowers in a variety of soft colors. It is a fascinating flowering tree that is supple and elegant. They started planting the trees around 1979 in the amusement park and became something like a symbol. In Nagashima Resort there are few hundred hanamizuki planted.

Once you reach Nagashima, head to Hotel Hanamizuki and complete your accommodation process. As a benefit of staying at Hotel Hanamizuki the first night and the next day you can enter Nabana no Sato and Nagashima Spa Land for free. Also you can enter Yuami no Shima located next to the hotel as many times as you want for free.

Check-in is from 2:00 p.m., but if you finish your accommodation process first, you can leave your bags at the front desk and receive the pass to enter other facilities. (You can start the accommodation process from 8:00 a.m. on the day of your stay. There is designated parking for lodging guest)

Once you've checked in and set up, it's time to use your lodging benefits and enjoy the hot springs at Yuami no Shima with large natural open-air baths!

It takes about 5 minutes taking the connecting path to reach Yuami no Shima next door.

Enjoy the Seasons at Yuami no Shima

Once you show your pass at the reception at Yuami no Shima, you will receive the key to your locker. Various towels and amenities are available in the dressing room, so all you have to do is store your clothes and belonging in the locker, and you are ready to go.

Yuami no Shima is a hot spring facility created on approximately 33,057 square meter property and has a total of 17 types open-air baths and indoor baths for men and women. The baths are separated in two areas of “Kurobe Kyokoku no Yu” and “Okuirise Keiryu no Yu,” are designated to men and women baths. The “Kurobe Kyokoku no Yu” has 8 baths and “Okuirise Keiryu no Yu” has 9 baths.

The two bath areas are available from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m., and the next day from 5:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m., the male and female bath changes, so lodging guests get to enjoy both sides!

To replicate the beauty of nature, "Kurobe Kyokoku no Yu” and “Okuirise Keiryu no Yu” uses real boulders and trees from various gorges and streams from around the country.

Being able to walk around naked in a magnificent scenery like this is something you don’t get to experience often!

The water at Nagashima Onsen is about 60 degrees, and about 10,000 tons of water flow every day. As it is an alkaline hot spring, it isn’t too intense and has a feels soft on your skin.

It has a beautifying effect of removing dead skin and is called the “Bath of Beautiful Skin.” Just like its name, when you get out of the bath your skin is smooth. Your skin becomes so smooth that it makes you smile!

Six Types of Bedrock Baths at “Yuami no Ganbanyoku”

On the second floor of the Yuami no Shima, you can enjoy bedrock baths. We recommend guests of Hotel Hanamizuki to try out the bedrock baths since it only costs 800 yen (tax included).

The infrared producing bedrocks at “Yuami no Ganbanyoku” mean that the rocks directly heat your body rather than warming the air around you. This is a low-temperature sauna that boosts your metabolism and allows you to sweat comfortably. At the entrance there is a full-body thermography, and you can see your temperature difference before and after the bedrock baths! The thermography is quite fun!

At “Yuami no Ganbanyoku” there are 6 bedrock bathrooms of “En,” “Nen,” “Ryoku,” “Zen,” “Un,” and “Rei.” There are also 4 relaxation rooms of “Sei,” “Raku,” “Ikoi,” and “Hon.”

The popular Finnish steam bath “löyly” can be experienced at “Nen.” The staff will pour aroma water and conducted loyly performance that matches the image and music. At "Zen” you can experience hot yoga and zen meditation in a space filled with special ores with high medicinal properties.

Enjoy the Illumination at Nabana no Sato

Hotel Hanamizuki guests can also enter the Nabana no Sato (two days, including the first night and the next day), and you can enter the Begonia Garden inside Nabana no Sato for free (1 time).

During the illumination period at Nabana no Sato, (every year from mid-October to early May), there are free shuttle buses available from the hotel (make sure to check the bus times.)
*The bus times are first-come-first-server, so make sure you tell your desired time when you complete your accommodation process

There are bunch of other benefits, such as being able to enter the Nagashima Spa Land for free for two days. You can purchase the ride passports and the one-day entry adult ticket for the Jumbo Ocean Water Pool with a 700 yen discount (only available during summer period), and enter the Nagashima Spa Land and Jumbo Ocean Water Pool 10 minutes before it opens!

Since your accommodation process is complete, you can stop by the front desk and head to your room. Form here the person in charge of your room will take your belongings to your room.

You can select guests room that matches your budget such as the main building (western-style room: for 3 adults, starting from 27,000 yen per person, includes tax and service fee), annex building (Japanese style room economy plant: 4 adults starting from 15,120 yen per person, includes tax and service fee).

It's so spacious!

We were surprised that the main building and annex building guest rooms had hot spring water flowing from the bath faucet!

From the ocean side of the main building, you can get a view of Ise Bay, and beyond that is Nagoya Port and Chita Peninsula.

Also, if you plan to go to the amusement park you can use the convenient hotel guest only path in the hotel to reach the gate directly.

Natural Hot Spring for Hotel Guests “Garden Bath Taki no Yu”

Let’s take a look at the hot spring in the hotel.
The garden bath “Taki no Yu” is a large bathing area only available to hotel guests. You can take a relaxing bath looking at beautiful flowers and trees in a well-kept garden.

Both men’s and woman’s baths have indoor baths, open-air baths, and hot tubs. It is available from 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 a.m. next morning (reception until 10:00 a.m. next morning), so you can enjoy the hot spring without worry.

The delicious dishes made with seasonal local dishes will satisfy your hunger.

The annex building dinner is served at the hotel, but the main building hotel is served in your room. Being able to eat in your room without others is one of the charms of the main building.

Breakfast and annex building dinner can be enjoyed at the garden restaurant “Kusu no Ki” located on the first floor of Hotel Hanamizuki. It offers a great view the seasonal scenery.

*Only breakfast is offered for main building guests. For main building guests that request western meals after their second night of lodging will utilize “Kusu no Ki” for dinner and breakfast

You can enjoy quality time and delicious meals at the garden restaurant “Kusu no Ki”

“Kusu no Ki” is a restaurant reserved to hotel guests, however during lunch time non-lodging guests can access it.

How about enjoying an extravagant lunch? The “Elegant Lunch” 4,760 yen (tax included) *Dishes and ingredients vary by season. During busy seasons such as Obon and New Year’s holidays some dishes, including the Elegant Lunch, cannot be ordered on the spot.

As well as their luxurious course meals, they also have a nice variety of casual meals.

When entering the restaurant from the amusement park, take the Hotel Hanamizuki guests only gate and tell the reception that you want to go to “Kusu no Ki,” after your meal you can return to the amusement park.

At the morning market held from 7:00 a.m. every morning at Hotel Hanamizuki, there are many local goods that would make great gifts. It’s quite interesting being able to enjoy the feeling of a market in a hotel!
