We went to the Sanjusandgendo Temple in the morning on a hot day in July 2026. It was hot outside but it was well worth going for a visit. There are 1001 golden statues here of the Kannon deity...Visited July 2026 -

Went with my family and my parents. Need to remove shoes if you are going inside the temple. Shoes are allowed at the temple garden. The place is not very big. Less than 1 hour is good enough. But...Visited June 2026

Very interesting to see all the Buddhas. Amazing attraction. Do not like the numerous donation boxes. Figures need a little more attention. Only clean 20 per year, so 50 years to do all. Nice...Visited June 2026
