Description

Murin-an Garden was the garden villa of the Meiji and Taisho period statesman, Aritomo Yamagata. Yamagata’s room where he decided to prepare for the Russo-Japanese war in 1903 still stands to this day. Jihei Owaga VII designed this garden overflowing in rustic beauty following the “Ueji-style”. It's a modern Japanese garden with a Western-style home in the center that features wooden architecture and a tea room.
