Description

Said to have been the dwelling of Murasaki Shikibu, Rozan-ji Temple is the temple where “The Tale of Genji” and other novels were written. The Garden of Genji is beautiful with its white sand and moss, and historical materials related to Murasaki Shikibu are on display in the Main Hall. The temple is also famous for its Setsubun celebration, “Oni-Horaku”.
