Nashinoki Jinja Shrine

梨木神社

Description

Sanetsumu Sanjo and his son Sanetomo were court nobles during the end of the Edo period and are enshrined here. The grounds have approximately 500 bush clover plants, and many people visit in during autumn. The shrine is said to be home to one of the three famous springs of Kyoto. The only existing well connected to said water, Somei, is used to fill the area where shrinegoers clean their hands and mouth before entering.
