Description
Kegon-ji Temple is part of the Rinzai sect of Buddhism which worships the Dainichi Nyorai. It’s famous as a temple for those who pray for good luck with matchmaking. The temple is sometimes called “Suzumushi-dera Temple” for the bell crickets (Suzumushi) raised on-site, and thus you can hear the chirping of crickets here year-round.
