Description
The Himeji City Museum of Literature is just west of Himeji Castle. Its uniquely circular yet cubic buildings are known for being designed by Tadao Ando. In its northern building is the “Himejijo Rekijisho Monogatari Hallway”, which tells the tale of Himeji Castle, and “Kotoba no Mori” which introduces literary figures. In the southern building, there is the Ryotaro Shiba Room which introduces “Harimanda Monogatari” and the picture book space, “Yoiko no Heya”. There is also a relaxing cafe and library.
