Description
Onsenji is a famous temple said to be built by the monk Gyoki in the Nara period. The shrine, found at the end of an out-of-the-way temple path, is dedicated to the deities Onamuchi no Mikoto and Sukuna Biko no Mikoto, who are said to have discovered Arima Onsen. You can get a vast view of the onsen district from inside the temple.
