Get ready for a dazzling hanami experience at Yomiuriland! The park’s popular winter illumination, Jewellumination, transforms into a breathtaking Nighttime Sakura edition, blending sparkling lights with the beauty of cherry blossoms. Stroll through glowing pink tunnels, admire trees bathed in soft sakura hues, and soak in the magical atmosphere of this one-of-a-kind nighttime hanami!

The newly opened Sky-Go-LAND Ferris wheel, which debuted in October 2024, will shine in a soft, sakura-inspired glow with 483 LED lights. Adding to the spectacle, the 180-meter-long Sakura Promenade will feature a breathtaking contrast—lower trees adorned with jewel-toned Jewellumination lights, while cherry blossoms are bathed in a dreamy pink glow.

Right next to Yomiuriland, the immersive flower park HANA・BIYORI will host Yozakura Biyori, a special nighttime cherry blossom event. Around 250 cherry trees, along with the park’s traditional Japanese garden and Seimon gate, will be beautifully illuminated.

One of the must-see highlights is the Tama Hizakura, a unique cherry blossom variety developed in the 1980s to create an original symbol for Yomiuriland. Compared to Somei Yoshino, it features richer, more vibrant pink petals, blooms earlier, and has an extended viewing period—making it a true hidden gem of hanami season.

In March 2024, HANA・BIYORI welcomed a new addition—Hanakage no Yu, a natural hot spring day spa. From the second-floor Hanami Terrace, you can unwind in a deck chair while admiring the park’s beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom.

Experience hanami in style with the Meguro River Hanami CHANDON Cruise, a special collaboration between the private charter service Anniversary Cruise and premium sparkling wine brand Chandon.

Departing from Shibaura, this 90-minute round-trip cruise takes you along Meguro River, one of Tokyo’s most famous cherry blossom spots. Stretching for about 4 kilometers, Meguro River is one of Tokyo’s most popular hanami spots, with around 800 Somei Yoshino cherry trees lining both banks. As the petals reach full bloom, keep an eye out for the fleeting spectacle of hanaikada—a breathtaking sight where fallen petals gather on the water’s surface, creating a pink floral carpet that drifts with the tide.

Held every spring in Nihonbashi, this seasonal festival brings the area to life with a variety of limited-time experiences. Visitors can enjoy pop-up outdoor cafés, exclusive spring-themed menus, and enchanting nighttime illuminations—all designed to celebrate the beauty of cherry blossoms in a uniquely urban setting.

Indulge in the tastes of spring at the Nihonbashi Sakura Sweets Café, a limited-time outdoor café featuring an array of seasonal treats. Renowned shops like Senbikiya Sohonten Fruit Parlor and Bunmeido Nihonbashi Main Store BUNMEIDO CAFÉ are set to participate, offering exclusive cherry blossom-inspired delights.

The first phase of the event, Nihonbashi Parfait Festival, will be held at the COREDO Muromachi Terrace Grand Roof Plaza, where a collection of beautifully crafted parfaits will take center stage.

Top restaurants, hotels, and commercial facilities from the Nihonbashi area will set up food stalls around Fukutoku no Mori, offering a delicious taste of spring.

Sixteen large sakura-colored noren (traditional fabric dividers) in seven unique designs will decorate Fukutoku no Mori, inspired by the cherry blossom varieties that bloom in the Nihonbashi area, such as Somei Yoshino, Okame Zakura, and Kawazu Zakura. The flowing patterns evoke the image of petals dancing in the wind, and at night, the displays will be beautifully illuminated.

The gardens of Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo offer a stunning cherry blossom display that lasts nearly two months. The season begins in February with early-blooming Kawazu Zakura, followed by elegant Shuzenji-Kanzakura, delicate Okame Zakura, and vibrant Yoko Zakura in March.

As April approaches, Somei Yoshino begins to bloom, leading up to the grand finale in mid-April, when lush Yaezakura (double-flowered cherry blossoms) take center stage. In total, around 100 trees from 20 different varieties create a breathtaking hanami experience.

The popular Tokyo Sea of Clouds garden display takes on a breathtaking new form during sakura season as Nighttime Sakura Sea of Clouds. As night falls, the illuminated cherry blossoms blend with the rolling mist, creating a mesmerizing pink-hued dreamscape that enhances the beauty of the sakura.

This year, the experience is even more magical with the debut of the Sky Pagoda, a three-tiered pagoda seemingly floating above the clouds, offering an unforgettable view of this ethereal scene.

At Selections, the hotel’s specialty shop, guests can indulge in three exclusive takeout sweets inspired by cherry blossoms. Highlights include the Sakura Mont Blanc, featuring a baked almond cream base topped with strawberries, crème Chantilly, and a beautifully piped sakura-infused cream, as well as the Strawberry Paris-Brest.
