Everyone loves to take memorable photos of every stop during their trip to Japan, whether it's in front of grand temples or a typical meeting spot. If you find yourself in Asakusa or Ueno, let us recommend a few popular photo spots that you can't miss.
The Surroundings of Azuma-bashi Bridge
The Azuma-bashi bridge is a bridge that stretches over the Sumida River and is within walking distance from Sensoji Temple. The structure of the red bridge is already beautiful by itself, but we also recommend you to go to the west bank on the side of Taito ward. From there you can capture TOKYO SKYTREE(R), the headquarters of Asahi - a brand well known for its beer - and the bridge all in one shot.

The Surroundings of Ueno Zoo - Home of the Giant Panda
The most popular member at the Ueno Zoo has to be the giant panda. After getting a glimpse of these lovely pandas, you will definitely want to bring home some photos of them. Giant pandas have a reputation of sleeping often, but if your timing is right, you might be able to see them playing. During busy, crowded times, it is a rule to continue moving in the queue while viewing the pandas, so if you want to take some good photos of them, the best time to go would be during the daytime on weekdays.

The Statue of Takamori Saigo
Takamori Saigo was a politician, as well as a Japanese warrior (samurai). This bronze statue is a must-take photo opportunity. Takamori Saigo is considered a hero for protecting the town from the horrors of war, during the time when Japan was divided into two factions. The statue is well-known among the people as "Ueno no Saigo-san (Mr. Saigo of Ueno)" and is a symbol of Ueno.
