Very fun zoo we went on a morning on a weekday so was able to avoid the crowd which was nice. Took a lot of pictures and it was a nice place to explore before hitting Ueno yokocho and Ueno Park.Visited September 2024 -

Very disappointed with Ueno Zoo! The animals were kept in small sparse enclosures and seemed very stressed. The elephant, black bear and the aarvarks just kept swaying, pacing or walking in circles...Visited September 2024
