From casual bars that welcome solo customers to bars with private rooms that can be reserved beforehand, you’ll definitely find something that caters to your particular needs here.
1. It Balls -Shibuya Bar-: 4 Screens for the Game and a Great Menu
First up is a sports bar that prides itself on its gourmet burgers. They’re prepared with carefully chosen ingredients and the shop's logo is branded onto the buns, making the entire platter visually unique and perfect for a few snaps before you dig in. The meat that has is minced in two different ways, giving it a juicy texture like a good steak, and the best part? Free refills of fries!
Of course the bar also has a number of imported beers including two types of draft beer: Kirin Ichiban Shibori (600 yen, tax excluded) and Heineken (600 yen, tax excluded). Though if you’re in the mood for a bottle, you have the choice of Full Moon (700 yen, tax excluded), Hoegaarden (800 yen, tax excluded), or Weizen (800 yen, tax excluded).

2. Lad's Garage Shibuya: Shibuya’s Best Kept Secret
As you might have guessed, the building was originally a garage, but was later renovated and converted into the bar it is now. Perfect for a pint with the lads. The space is huge, with a total of more than 150 seats spread out across the premises aboveground and underground. Its narrow-looking entrance belies the large space within. It's so spacious, in fact, that even at full seating capacity there is much elbow room to go around, and this is one of the bar's major selling points.
They also have a seriously impressive drinks menu, featuring more than 200 different drinks, including three kinds of draft beer that can be had from just half a pint (about 284 milliliters) per order for 440 yen excluding tax. Their selection includes a number of high-quality brews from Germany, Belgium, the United States, Mexico, and all over the world. There is English text beside the Japanese text in the menu, so foreign visitors can definitely feel at ease ordering drinks here!

If you want to class it up a bit, or really want a true “bar” feel as opposed to a pub, Kitsune Shibuya is just for you. Its huge party space can take up to 300 people. The symbolic 360°island-style bar counter sits tall in the center of the premises, asserting its presence and giving the entire space a certain glamor. The massive 120 inch screen transforms the area into a sporting venue during major events such as national team matches – perfect for getting into the energetic atmosphere with fellow fans. Or you can book in advance for groups of up to 15 people.

Shinjuku Sports Bars
For casual places with reasonable prices or something more specialized with large-screen TVs for the ultimate viewing experience, you can be sure there will be a bar for you in Shinjuku. Here we have a bar named after The Simpsons, a Mexican bar, and cozy bars with British and American influences.
5. Darts & Shot Bar Sector 7G: Live matches on two large-screen monitors
This particular bar takes its name from the well-known cartoon series "The Simpsons". We’re sure you already know that it’s name of the place where main character Homer Simpson works. The casual bar seats 40 and in Shinjuku’s Kabukicho, a popular area among both local and foreign visitors. With no cover charges and an English speaking barkeeper, this the perfect place to swing by when you’re in the area.
The bar is equipped with two large-screen monitors - more than 50 inches! And we all know that the perfect way to watch the game is with a beer in hand and a burger by your side. Lucky for us, half a pint (about 284 milliliters) of draft beer starts from 500 yen (with tax), and you can select from a variety of brands, from big names like Japan’s own Kirin Ichiban Shibori and Ireland’s Guinness to an assortment of guest beers. And you can bite into a juicy Hamburger (800 yen, tax included) that uses a 100% beef patty, some crispy Fish and Chips (starts from 800 yen, tax included), or a fresh Mixed Pizza (870 yen, tax included), among other Western favorites. Of course, as the name suggests, you can also entertain yourself with a game of darts between drinks and matches.

This one is great for those seeking the style a classic British. And behind the staff counter, you'll find bottles of choice alcoholic beverages from countries all over the world displayed oh-so-temptingly.
They regularly stock more than five kinds of distinctly different draft beers, including two to three types of guest beers such as Guinness, House Ale, and Sapporo. If you're a whiskey fan, you're in for a treat as well. The bar has faithfully collected the best whiskey Shinjuku has to offer under one roof. You'll also find a wide selection of Japanese whiskey from other regions as well. And the bacon and salami being served here have been directly imported from Europe, giving that authentic western taste.

9. Craft Beer Tap Shinjuku East Exit: Get a Drink Straight From the Keg!
This bar is super easy to get to directly from Shinjuku Station's east exit. Their beautiful wood grain furniture contributes to an air of refined elegance, and the two large-screen monitors here broadcast all sorts of sports activities every day. The most distinct feature of this bar is the intense variety of beer brands - famous or otherwise - from around the world.
Keg draft beer is available from 650 yen a glass excluding tax, and there are 20 types for you to choose from. For bottled beer, there are more than 100 different brands - all directly imported by the company running the bar, so you may even find a special brand or two that you would never have encountered by yourself elsewhere. Or you can choose from the array of beer taps. But don’t miss out on the all-you-can-drink Beer Keg Package (3,500 yen, tax excluded, reservation required before 7:00 p.m. on day of visit) that allows you to freely sample up to 10 types of keg draft beer! Ebisu Sports Bars
While your first priority may be to get to the stadiums to watch the action live, for those matches you don’t have tickets for, or when you just want to go somewhere nearby, we have one last perfect spot in Ebisu for you. Cheer on your favorite team and see how many people you can find rooting for your country too!
10. THE FooTNiK – Ebisu
Incredibly close to Ebisu Station’s east exit is where you’ll find FooTNiK, a British pub in Tokyo that's absolutely devoted to soccer (or football, as would be correct in a British pub). One of its best characteristics is their marvelous 100 inch projector screen, just perfect for watching the match.
In 2017 this pub was certified by the UK’s National Federation of Fish Friers, meaning that you really need to try the fish and chips being served up at the FooTNiK, no matter where you’re from. Though a full portion at 1300 yen is truly filling, you can try a half-sized portion for 800 yen. They also have a full range of other British dishes including their English pie for 1300 yen or bangers and mash which costs 1300 yen.
They have a great range of drinks to wash down the meal, but their Punk IPA stands out amongst the crowd, being a fruity IPA using Scotland malt and New Zealand hops and can be served as just a half pint for 750 yen or a 2/3 pint for 950 yen. A pint of other drinks, such as Yebisu, start from 950 yen.
Well, we’ve found the best sports bars and pubs in the area, so what are you waiting for? Get yourself out on a pub crawl or find your favorite haunt for the trip – the game isn’t going to watch itself!
