B1F: A Food Lover’s Paradise – Experience a True Japanese Supermarket

Start your visit by heading straight to the basement. This is where the real everyday Japan comes alive. While many tourists rush to the upper floors, local shoppers and repeat visitors know this is the hidden gem—packed with everything from fresh produce to deli favorites.
Main Products
・Groceries, prepared foods, bakery items, fresh produce
・Fresh and processed meats, frozen foods
・Alcohol (sake, beer, whisky)
・Soft drinks, seasonings

- Hunt for late-night “discount stickers”: After a night out in Shibuya, swing by B1F when you get hungry. From around 9 PM to 10 PM, staff start adding discount stickers to bento boxes, sushi, and deli items. It is a great way to pick up a cheap and satisfying late-night snack for your hotel.
- “Jonetsu Kakaku” frozen foods are a must-try: “Jonetsu Kakaku” is Donki’s original brand, and their frozen takoyaki and gyoza have a strong following for their quality and price. If your hotel has a microwave, these become an easy and delicious late-night option.
- Small sake “tasting bottles”: If you cannot take home a large 1.8L isshobin, check out the selection of small bottles 180–300ml. This is an affordable way to sample well-known labels like Dassai before deciding on a bigger purchase.
1F: The Entrance & Trendsetting Front Line Floor

The first floor is the “face” of MEGA Donki. This is where you will find the main checkout area and service counter, along with a large promotional zone featuring the latest seasonal items and trending products. It is the busy front line of the store and the best place to spot what is hot right now.
Main Products
・General checkout, service counter (shipping, gift wrapping)
・Promotional space (seasonal items, trending products)
・Hanko (personal stamp) vending machine
・ATM, portable battery rentals
- Catch the trends at the Promotional Corner: The large area in front of the registers changes completely with each season and trend. In summer you will find cooling goods. In winter there are kairo (heat packs). Before Valentine’s Day the space fills with chocolate. It is an easy way to see what is trending in Japan at a glance.
- Use the delivery service: Do not worry if you buy more than expected. The service counter on the first floor handles both domestic and international shipping. You can also send items to your hotel so you can continue sightseeing with empty hands.
2F: The Snack Jungle and Daily Necessities Floor

The second floor is packed with the snack souvenirs that travelers love to bring home. It is also where you will find all the daily essentials you may need during your trip, all in one convenient place.
Main Products
・Snacks (chips, chocolate, gummies, etc.)
・Delicacies (otsumami and bar snacks)
・Shampoo, laundry supplies, paper goods (tissues, etc.)
・Men’s cosmetics

- Do not miss limited-time and regional items: Japanese makers release new flavors every season. You can often find limited-time Kit Kat varieties and regional snacks from all over Japan gathered right here in the Shibuya store. The rule is simple: if you see it, grab it immediately.
- Umaibo for bulk souvenirs: “Umaibo” are puffed corn sticks that cost just over 10 yen each. They come in many flavors such as Corn Potage and Mentaiko. They offer some of the best value for “baramaki-miyage,” meaning small souvenirs you hand out to many colleagues and friends.
- Alcohol lovers should head to the Chinmi corner: The selection of chinmi (delicacies) is impressive. You will find Japanese-style bar snacks such as beef jerky and saki-ika (dried shredded squid). If you picked up alcohol on B1F, remember to grab your snacks on the second floor.
3F: The Dedicated Beauty & Healthcare Floor

Everything you would expect to find in a Japanese drugstore is gathered on this one floor. The selection of face masks and cosmetics is especially large, making it a great place to browse for beauty items and gifts.
Main Products
・Cosmetics, skincare, haircare products
・Pharmaceuticals, health foods, fragrances
・Baby products
・Dedicated pharmaceuticals checkout

- Handwritten POPs are your best reviews: If you are unsure what to buy, check the colorful hand-drawn signs on the shelves. These include staff recommendations and sales rankings. They show you what is really selling in Shibuya right now, and they are far more useful than any guidebook.
- Look for large-capacity packs: Donki often sells exclusive large-capacity packs and bonus gift sets for items such as face masks and sunscreen. These usually offer much better value than buying single items.
- Use the Dedicated Pharmaceuticals Checkout to save time: You can pay for medicine, such as cold medicine or painkillers (EVE, Loxonin), directly at the dedicated counter where the pharmacist is located. This lets you check out quickly without waiting in the long lines at the first-floor general checkout.

4F: The Fashion & Brand Paradise Floor

This floor brings together everything related to fashion. You will find high-end brands, everyday apparel, shoes, and a wide range of lifestyle goods.
Main Products
・Brand-name goods (bags, watches, including pre-owned items)
・Apparel (men’s and women’s), sporting goods
・Shoes, bags, bedding, interior goods

- Check the certificate of authenticity for brand-name goods: Donki’s brand-name items are authentic, but many are pre-owned. Be sure to check each item’s condition and whether it includes a certificate of authenticity or a warranty. You may discover a hidden gem.
- “I ♡ TOKYO” T-shirts are here: Popular souvenir tees such as “I LOVE TOKYO” designs and shirts with funny Japanese phrases can be found in this apparel corner. They make easy and entertaining gifts.
- A hidden spot for G-SHOCKs: This floor has a wide selection of Casio G-SHOCK and Baby-G watches. You can sometimes find international models or Japan-exclusive versions at very good prices.
5F: Shibuya Culture, Character Goods, and Party Items

This floor captures the playful “chaos” that makes Shibuya’s Donki so famous. It is filled with everything from popular character goods and party supplies to more niche items that you will not easily find elsewhere.
Main Products
・Character goods (Sanrio, Pokémon, etc.)
・Cosplay supplies, party goods
・Kitchenware, cookware, bath supplies, laundry supplies
・Adult novelty goods, TENGA SHOP
- Find the best gag souvenirs here: This floor is a treasure trove of “neta-miyage,” meaning gag souvenirs that will get a laugh. You will find funny headwear, joke items, and anime-style costumes. They are perfect for saying, “Look at this crazy thing I found in Japan!”
- Stock up on character socks: Look for character socks from Sanrio, Pokémon, and more. There are often multi-buy deals such as five pairs for a set price. These make easy and affordable souvenirs for friends and family.
- The unexpected find - cookware: This floor also carries Japanese kitchen knives and convenient kitchen gadgets. They are easy to miss behind the character goods, but you can find high-quality kitchenware at very good prices.
6F: A Must-See for Gadget and Hobby Lovers

If you do not have time to visit Akihabara, the sixth floor might be everything you need. It is stocked with travel-friendly gadgets, useful electronics, and fun hobby items that are great for browsing.
Main Products
・Electronics, beauty appliances (hair dryers, hair irons)
・Smartphone accessories (chargers, cables, cases)
・Video game character goods, outdoor goods
・Stationery, aroma fragrances

- Look for international voltage models: Hair dryers and hair irons that support international voltage (100V to 240V) are placed in easy-to-find spots. It is reassuring to know you can use them right away when you return home.
- Jonetsu Kakaku mobile batteries: Donki’s original brand offers mobile batteries that are surprisingly affordable for their large capacity. They are a lifesaver when your phone is running low during your travels.
- Japanese stationery is a hidden gem: High-performing Japanese stationery, such as erasable “Frixion” pens, makes an excellent souvenir that is small and easy to pack. This floor has a good selection to browse.
7F: Your Final Stop! The Souvenir & Tax-Free Floor

You have reached the finish line. This floor is perfect for last-minute souvenir shopping and for handling your tax-free procedures. If you need a new suitcase for everything you picked up along the way, you can find one here as well.
Main Products
・Suitcases (carry cases)
・Japanese souvenirs (crafts, keychains, etc.)
・Tax-free only counter (dedicated tax-free counter)

MEGA Don Quijote Shibuya FAQ
- Q1. What are the store hours?
- A1. The shopping floors (B1F to 7F) are open 24 hours. You can shop anytime, whether late at night or early in the morning. Please note that some tenants, such as Re:Fine, have different operating hours.
- Q2. Where is the tax-free counter, and what are its hours?
- A2. The dedicated “TaxFree Only Counter” is located on the seventh floor. The tax-free procedure is available 24 hours, but the counter becomes extremely crowded at night, especially from 8 PM to 11 PM. If possible, aim for quieter times such as the morning (9 AM to 12 PM).
- Q3. Where can I buy pharmaceuticals (such as cold medicine or painkillers)?
- A3. Pharmaceuticals are sold on the third floor in the “Pharmaceuticals and Health Foods” section. Popular products like EVE and Loxonin are available. There is a dedicated checkout for medicine on the third floor, which can be faster when the first-floor general checkout is crowded.
- Q4. Do you sell suitcases?
- A4. Yes. Suitcases are available on the seventh floor. If you have bought too many souvenirs to fit in your luggage, the smart route is to purchase a new suitcase on the seventh floor and then go directly to the tax-free counter.
- Q5. I want to buy souvenirs. Which floors do you recommend?
- A5. Snacks (including Kit Kat): second floor. Cosmetics and face masks: third floor. Character goods and funny socks: fifth floor. Sake and whisky: B1F. Japan-style crafts and keychains: seventh floor.
- Q6. Where are the restrooms?
- A6. The restrooms are on the second floor. The store is large and they can be hard to find from other floors, so it is a good idea to go when you pass through the second floor.
- Q7. Is there free Wi-Fi in the store?
- A7. Yes. Free public Wi-Fi (DONKI_Free_Wi-Fi) is available. It is useful for displaying this article’s exclusive coupon or staying in touch with family and friends.
- Q8. Are the brand-name goods on the fourth floor authentic? Are they pre-owned?
- A8. All brand-name goods handled by Don Quijote are authentic. The floor carries both new items and many pre-owned items in good condition. Check the price and the item’s condition (rank) carefully to find a good bargain.
- Q9. What payment methods are accepted?
- A9. A wide variety of payment methods are accepted. This includes major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, UnionPay), Japanese transportation IC cards (Suica, PASMO), and QR code payments (PayPay, Alipay, WeChat Pay, Kakao Pay, and others). Please confirm details at the register.
- Q10. When is the store most crowded?
- A10. Whether on a weekday or weekend, the store is most crowded at night from 7 PM to 12 AM. During these hours you can expect long lines at the checkouts and the tax-free counter. For a calmer experience, we recommend visiting on a weekday morning or early afternoon (around 10 AM to 3 PM).
