Japan opened its 155th Super Hotel in Sendai on August 26, 2020. The new hotel aims to promote the local area and cuisine in a revitalization attempt.
In order to encourage people to use local businesses, the hotel is offering a set plan with meal tickets for up to 5,000 yen per person in collaboration with neighboring restaurants. With direct access to Sendai Airport, they are actively promoting the local area and working together with local gourmets.
It is also a part of the ‘Go To’ travel campaign.
Enjoy the local cuisine and accommodation
Along with their reasonably priced rooms, the Super Hotel will be offering meal tickets that can be used at local restaurants for up to 5,000 yen per person. They hope to create an environment where you can enjoy the local area, then rest easy at night.
Partnering restaurants
Sendai is well-known for its high quality beef tongue, so a few of the participating stores are as follows:
・Jinchu "Beef tongue lunch box" Yuriage Koujou Chokubaiten
・Jinchu Sendai International Airport store
・Takadate shokudou Suijin Soba
・Wakakusa sushi
See the official website for details.
Refreshing hot springs
The natural hot spring called "Genji Tsubasa no Yu" is available to all guests. The hot spring water comes fresh from Nasushiobara in Tochigi. It contains metasilicic acid, which is said to be a natural moisturizing ingredient, and is rich in ingredients that make the skin supple and smooth.
Room Overview
The rooms use double glazing for sound and heat insulation, have USB outlets in the headboards, and use mattresses that were developed jointly with Osaka University to create a special coil structure that allows you to get a comfortable sleep in the optimal position.
The hotel is also practicing a no key and no checkout system to avoid direct contact. See website below for details.
