Aoniyoshi started its operation on April 29, 2022. It connects Osaka-Namba Station, Kintetsu-Nara Station, and Kyoto Station - all of which are home to several World Heritage sites and tourist spots.

“Aoniyoshi” is a pillow word, a poetic device where a certain introductory phrase is commonly used to allude to something else, used in waka poems and other styles of Japanese poetry to describe the beauty and splendor of the capital of Nara.

The package starts with a lunch buffet featuring Kyoto vegetables at Westin Miyako Hotel Kyoto’s restaurant, “All-Day Dining, Raqou.” After lunch, you can enjoy a leisurely ride on Aoniyoshi to famous plum blossom spots in Kyoto-such as Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and Umemiya Taisha Shrine.
