Don Quijote Discount Coupon FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Q1. How do I use this coupon? Do I just show my smartphone screen at the register?
A1. Yes, that's correct. At the register, please present your smartphone screen to the staff, making sure the barcode on the coupon page is clearly visible. The discount will be applied once the staff scans the barcode. It is best to present the coupon before you finalize your payment. - Q2. Can I use a screenshot of the coupon image?
A2. Screenshots cannot be used. Please access the LIVE JAPAN page right before checkout and show the live screen directly. - Q3. Are there any items that are not eligible for the coupon discount?
A3. Yes, the discount does not apply to alcohol, tobacco, POSA cards (prepaid gift cards), and some high-priced brand items. For more details, please ask a member of the store staff. - Q4. Can I get both the tax-free discount and the coupon discount?
A4. Yes, you can. This is the biggest advantage of the Don Quijote coupon. The coupon discount (up to 7%) is applied to the total amount after the 10% tax-free discount has been applied. Please present both your passport and the coupon at the tax-free counter when completing the tax-exemption procedure. - Q5. Is there a minimum purchase amount to use the coupon?
A5. The coupon can be used on tax-free purchases of 10,000 yen or more (before tax). The more you buy, the higher the discount rate, so we recommend shopping and checking out together if you are with a group. - Q6. The internet connection in the store is weak and the coupon page won't load. What should I do?
A6. Connect to Don Quijote's free Wi-Fi: Most stores offer 'DONKI_Free_Wi-Fi'. You can connect immediately with a simple registration—no password is required. - Q7. Can this coupon be used at all Don Quijote stores?
A7. It can be used at most Don Quijote stores and related group stores (e.g., MEGA Don Quijote, APITA) nationwide across Japan.
How to Use Your Don Quijote Coupon & The Tax-Free Process
1. Go to the Tax-Free Counter with your passport

You can receive a tax exemption on purchases of 5,000 JPY (excl. tax) or more. Head to the dedicated tax-free counter with your passport. If your purchase is over 10,000 JPY, don't forget to have your LIVE JAPAN coupon ready.
2. Tap the banner below
Make sure your coupon is ready before payment.
3. Tap the corresponding page

4. Follow STEPS 1-4 on the screen with the help of the Store Staff

Note: Tax-free items are sealed in plastic bags and, in principle, cannot be opened until after you return to your home country. Items you plan to use or consume during your stay in Japan—such as snacks, drinks, or cosmetics—are not eligible for tax exemption and must be purchased separately.
