Tokyo’s Popular Waterfront Destination: Odaiba

Located at the intersection of Minato, Shinagawa, and Koto wards, Odaiba has grown steadily since the late Edo period, when Japan opened to the world after ending its isolation policy. Today it is home to famous landmarks such as Rainbow Bridge and the Statue of Liberty replica, along with major shopping and entertainment complexes like DECKS Tokyo Beach, AQUA CITY ODAIBA, and DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. It is an area where you can easily spend the whole day exploring and enjoying yourself.
Beyond its modern cityscape, Odaiba also offers a softer, more natural side. Spots such as Aomi Minami Futo Park, Odaiba Seaside Park, and Daiba Park feature waterfront views, seabirds, and seasonal scenery. These parks frequently host special events, so it is worth checking event information before you visit.
The closest station to Odaiba is Daiba Station on the Yurikamome Line. This fully automated train has no driver’s cabin, which allows passengers seated at the front to enjoy panoramic views of the tracks, Rainbow Bridge, and Tokyo Bay. Traveling from Daiba Station to the various attractions in Odaiba is simple thanks to convenient connections with JR lines, Tokyo Metro, and the Yurikamome Line.
