"HUB's Shijo Karasuma Branch" is a full-fledged British pub that's easy to pop in to.
"HUB Shijo Karasuma Branch" is located in the retail facility "COCON KARASUMA", near the subway's Shijo Karasuma Station. It's a British-style pub where you can watch sporting events. The pub sees many foreign visitors, and, just like an authentic pub, it has no cover charge and requires you to pay cash when you get each of your ordered items. There is no cover charge even in the evening so you can pop right in and start things off with a beer. This large pub can seat 103 people and keeps smoking and non-smoking sections separate. It also has free Wi-Fi and opens at noon, perfect for enjoying your afternoon matches.
They plan to broadcast every match of the Rugby World Cup. For drinks, they have beer, cocktails, apple cider (alcoholic), and soft drinks. Don't forget to try the deep flavors of the classic "HUB ALE", a perfect mix of bitter and sweet!

"BAR CHART Shijo Karasuma" is a bar with a vast assortment of whiskey. Including their Japanese whiskeys, they have over 70 varieties. The bar has a total of 36 counter and table seats and allows smoking in all areas. It has a cover charge of 500 yen on top of food and drink charges. Eight large monitors above the counter guarantee you will get a great view of your match no matter where you sit.
Here, the most popular item is the "WHISKEY Flight Set", a set that lets you taste several varieties (1,300+ yen, tax included). The bar provides 11 different three-whiskey sets. The food menu is focused on light sides like nuts and potato chips that pair well with alcohol. There are pastas like the amatriciana (700 yen plus tax) and the carbonara (700 yen plus tax) for those who want to fill up. Menus are also available in English. "Man in the Moon KARASUMA": An authentic pub atmosphere with international staff
"Man in the Moon KARASUMA" is an Irish pub made in the image of a British corner pub. International staff and travelers from around the world give this bar an avant-garde atmosphere. There is no cover charge and each drink is paid for in cash at the counter. They have 13 different international beers on tap and a diverse array of over 70 different whiskeys. The popular "Three-beer Tasting Set" lets you try three variants of your beloved beer.
Their specialties, the "Fish & Chips" and the spicy "Buffalo Wings", make for a perfect match with beer. Smoking is allowed in all areas until 11 p.m. In addition to counter seats, there are also table seats and sofas. With three large monitors, they also plan to broadcast every match of the Rugby World Cup. It is easily accessible from Kyoto Station and Gion. Their YANAGINOBANBA ROKKAKU branch also plans to broadcast the entirety of the Rugby World Cup and is easily accessible from Karasuma and Kawaramachi. "Pig & Whistle British Pub" is perfect for those who want to share the excitement of watching sports events with friends. This British pub was established 32 years ago and sees many foreign visitors. Just one stop away from Gion-shijo Station (Keihan Railway), this spacious bar with a 100-person capacity is located right above Sanjo Station (Keihan Railway), on the second floor of the building. There is no cover charge and each drink is paid for in cash at the counter. The bar has six large TVs and will broadcast all Rugby World Cup matches, including paid channels. It also has 13 different beers from around the world. With towers of beer lining the walls, their counter is a sight to see.
For seven years in a row since 2013, this pub has been selected as a "Guinness Best Pub" by the Irish company Guinness. Their beer quality control and pouring techniques ensure your beer is served in the best possible way. On top of appetizers like "Chips" and "Fish & Chips", their sizable menu also includes a "Mixed Pizza" and a veggie-loaded "Vegetarian Pizza", both made using homemade crust and tomato sauce. Four darts boards make the pub feel like an authentic British pub.

A hot spring for when you're tired! "Anshin-Oyado Premium KYOTO Shijo Karasuma"
"Anshin-Oyado Premium KYOTO Shijo Karasuma" gives you the opportunity to stay the night once you're tired from watching sports events. This capsule hotel accommodates men and women and has 240 capsules. It also has an artificial hot spring! The hotel gets many foreign visitors and the front is ready to assist in English, Chinese, and Korean. The first floor has a cafe bar with one large monitor, allowing you to watch your sports matches. It also has a one-hour all-you-can-drink for 1,500 yen (tax included). What's more, guests staying at the capsule hotel can enjoy it for the spectacular price of 750 yen (tax included).
This self-service drink bar includes beer, highballs, various sours and shochu liquors, sake, and soft drinks. The sake changes monthly but is always from a Kyoto brewery.
Side dishes are canned, and snacks are sold separately. The popular, piping hot "fresh popcorn" (300 yen) is available in nine flavors so you can match it up with your food.
