Everyone loves to go on a bit of a shopping spree every now and then, and managing to find stylish looks at bargain prices makes the experience even better! And it's all the better when you're looking for shoes in Japan.
Outlet shops in Tokyo are the go-to spots when it comes to finding fancy apparel for little money. They sell brand wear for often much smaller prices than at regular shops for various reasons, such as the clothes being offseason, from last year, or exhibits.
Often people think of large malls in rural areas when they hear “outlet,” but individual shops are dotted all around Tokyo to make your shopping experience in the big city a fantastic one!
We’ve found our three favorite outlet shops where you’ll find plenty of popular clothes and cheap shoes in Tokyo, most of which can't be found anywhere else!
ABC-MART Outlet Gotanda TOC
ABC-MART is a prominent shoe store chain that you’ll often spot when walking Tokyo’s streets. It sells various shoe brands, including major ones, and has a lineup ranging from casual to elegant, from sneaker to leather shoe. There are also plenty of products from original brands and limited items that can only be found at ABC-MART. The chain has exactly one outlet shop, namely ABC-MART Outlet Gotanda TOC.
Look forward to browsing shoes of the previous season, discontinued models, or B-grade products (those that failed the strict inspection standards, but not to worry – they’re in good condition and any flaws are usually tiny, with rare cases of scratches or discoloration). Of course, a selection such as that comes at the properly low outlet prices! This shop also has the regular lineup found at other ABC-MARTs, meaning newest models and so on, and even those shoes are 10% off!
The “Final Sale” corner is particularly popular, as these are shoes with especially low stocks at branches throughout Japan or those that got discolored by the sun or dirtied at the store. There are bargains of up to 50% to be made! If you find a shoe that you like and is available in your size, you wouldn’t want to hesitate!
We especially recommend taking a look at the “Gotanda Shop Limited Price” selection. This special selection changes regularly and by season, so there might be a particularly great bargain to be made!
