Pokémon fans around the world, get ready.
On February 5, 2026, a brand-new Pokémon destination opens in Tokyo, and it is unlike anything that has come before. PokéPark KANTO, the world’s first permanent outdoor Pokémon facility. Inspired by the original Kanto region from the 1996 video games Pokémon Red and Green, this immersive park brings the very roots of Pokémon to life in a setting built for exploration, discovery, and nostalgia.
And the adventure starts before the gate.
To celebrate the opening, Odakyu Electric Railway and Odakyu Bus have teamed up to transform stations and buses into Pokémon-filled spaces starting January 20. From your first step off the train, the journey itself becomes part of the experience.
What Is PokéPark KANTO?
Located inside the lush grounds of Yomiuriland in Inagi City, western Tokyo, PokéPark KANTO offers a fully immersive outdoor experience that feels more like stepping into a living world than visiting a traditional theme park.
This is a place designed to slow down, look closely, and explore with all your senses, just as players once did in the original games.
At the heart of the park is Pokémon Forest, a richly detailed area where more than 600 Pokémon appear to live naturally among the trees and tall grass.
Guests are encouraged to walk, observe, and search carefully, using sight, sound, and curiosity rather than screens. It is a rare chance to experience Pokémon not as characters on a phone, but as part of a shared environment.
Begin Your Adventure at Shin-Yurigaoka Station

If you are heading to PokéPark KANTO, taking the Odakyu Line is highly recommended. The key access point, Shin-Yurigaoka Station, has been transformed into a Pokémon photo spot that feels like a gateway to another world.
Step Through the Ticket Gates Into Pokémon’s World

Easily reached from Shinjuku by Romancecar or rapid express trains, Shin-Yurigaoka Station welcomes visitors with large-scale Pokémon visuals inside the Central East Gate.
Towering key visuals featuring Pikachu and Eevee peeking out from a forest set the tone immediately. It feels less like arriving at a station and more like receiving an invitation to begin your journey.
A dream-like drive on the one-of-a-kind "Full-Wrapped Pokémon Bus" that you can't find anywhere else.

The journey from the station to the park is more than just "travel time." Odakyu Bus is introducing a one-of-a-kind, fully wrapped bus that you won't find anywhere else.
Don't Miss Bus Stop No. 4

Buses bound for the park depart from Bus Stop No. 4 at the station’s south exit, and even the waiting area has been specially decorated with Pokémon artwork.
Those few minutes before boarding feel like part of the story, turning waiting time into anticipation.
Book Tickets in Advance
PokéPark KANTO is expected to be extremely popular, especially in its opening months. Be sure to check ticket availability on the Official Website and secure reservations in advance whenever possible.
Enjoy your Pokémon Adventure!
From stepping off a Pokémon-themed train platform to riding a wrapped bus through the hills, every part of the journey to PokéPark KANTO is designed to feel like a story in motion.
With Pikachu and Eevee waiting at the station and a forest full of discoveries ahead, this is more than a theme park visit. It is a return to where Pokémon began.
Grab your imaginary Poké Ball and set off for Shin-Yurigaoka Station.
