1. Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort Hotel: Mount Fuji hotel with a gorgeous view!
Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort Hotel is an accommodation near Mount Fuji. It's located within walking distance (approximately 900 meters) from Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujiyuko Line, about 105 minutes by highway bus, from the newly opened (2019) Shinjuku Station’s bus terminal, Busta Shinjuku.
A modern, but also traditionally Japanese, atmosphere greets you. In the back, a chandelier is shaped like Mount Fuji.
There are 120 rooms, including Japanese-style rooms with views of Mount Fuji.
There are also semi-double rooms perfect for those traveling alone.
If you want to wash away the fatigue of the trip, enjoy soaking in one of the many baths, including open-air baths with a view of Mount Fuji, and weekly acidic artificial hot springs with carbon dioxide dissolved in the hot water.
Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort Hotel offers meals buffet-style for breakfast and dinner. There are 20 different dishes to choose from at breakfast and 30 at dinner. The restaurant faces Mount Fuji, there to energize you while you enjoy your meal. You'll be happy you booked this hotel near Mount Fuji.

2. Dot Hostel & Bar: Mingle with other guests at the bar!
Searching for where to stay near Mount Fuji and want to book a spot on the cheap? Dot Hostel & Bar, located near Kawaguchiko Station on the Fujikyu Line, is a new form of Mount Fuji accommodation that opened in 2019. As the name suggests, the most distinctive feature of the hotel is that the hotel itself and the bar are integrated.
The bar at Dot Hostel & Bar, is open until 10pm, while many other restaurants in the area close at 6pm. There you can enjoy Yamanashi’s original liquors and beer.
The lounge by the lobby holds various evening and night events, creating opportunities for guests to interact, like movie screenings, board games, and shisha. A great opportunity for travelers to Japan to make friends from all over the world.
You can choose from a dormitory room with a shared bath and restroom, a twin room for two people, a modern Japanese room, or a family room that can accommodate up to 8 people.
In addition, “Dot Glamping,” opened in December 2019. This is a facility where you can “glamp” with a mobile cabin and enjoy saunas at the feet of Mount Fuji, for a truly refreshing experience for both body and spirit.

From Fujikyu Kawaguchiko Station, take the Kawaguchiko Tour Bus (Red Line). Get off at the terminal’s Natural Life Center and walk 2 minutes.
*Due to the recent impact of COVID-19, saunas will not be available until mid-May. If you want access to the sauna, we recommend booking after June.
3. Tourist Villa Kawaguchiko: Your own private tiny house near Mount Fuji!
Not all Mount Fuji hotels are made the same. Wondering where to stay near Mount Fuji when traveling with friends and family? You can rent a whole tiny house! “Tourist Villa Kawaguchiko” is a tiny house type of Mount Fuji accommodation. It’s located about 7 minutes by taxi from Kawaguchiko Station.
There is a total of 15 tiny houses. The maximum occupancy is 5 people, and 9 people for the bigger ones. The smaller tiny houses have 4 beds + a sofa bed, and the larger ones have 8 beds + 1 sofa bed. Each bed area can be enclosed by curtains, for your privacy.
The accommodations are equipped with kitchen, refrigerator, and microwave oven, so you can enjoy your homemade food. Furthermore, each tiny house near Mount Fuji presents a BBQ area.
The facility opened in 2019, and the bath area is new and modern. You will certainly be able to relax as if you were in your own home.
The laundry area is shared and you can use the machines with 300 yen for washing and 200 yen for drying (40 minutes). You will be able to enjoy even long stays (there will be no cleaning, or towel change during your stay).
Reservations can be made online (also in English) and you can self-check-in on the starting date. The check-in offers support in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean.
