It’s almost spring season in China, Easter break in Europe and spring break in the U.S. There are sure to be a lot of travelers to Japan during this season. On February 1st, 2018, In anticipation of the spring season, Tokyo Disneyland has released their new line of souvenirs. At Live Japan, we took the liberty of going to see for ourselves the numerous new products that will tickle the fancy of even non-fans of the franchise. Several of the products are only available for a limited time and only in Japan so getting your hands on these will give anyone major bragging rights! Read on to find a list of both the new spring products as well as those products that are about to go off the shelves for good.
New Cherry Blossom Colored Products
When most people think of Japan they imagine the pink hue of cherry blossoms and thus for the first time, Disneyland has released a line of sakura pink products! So many cute products that you can only get in Disneyland in Japan!
Sakura Pink Mickey and Minnie Plush Dolls with Pin 1,800 jpy each
We heard a loud shout as a group of girls laid eyes on these sakura pink Mickey and Minnie dolls as they exclaimed “So cute!” The more you look at them, the more you’ll want them! These are super cute whether you pin them on your bag or the front of your sweater. These have been on shelves since February 1st and are selling like crazy so if you happen across these you’ll definitely want to get one!
Sakura Pink Water Bottle 1,700 jpy
This transparent sakura pink water bottle features Minnie wearing traditional Japanese garments and facing sideways in an elegant manner you don’t usually get to see. If you take the full cap off you can use it as a cup or simply take the small cap off and use it as a bottle. Although it’s not insulated, it definitely looks like a great tool to carry around water or other cold drinks.
Sakura Pink Postcard 200 jpy a piece
The must-get postcard if you visit Disneyland during the cherry blossom season is here! One postcard features the same side-facing, traditional-Japanese-garment-wearing Minnie and on another, you can see a picture of Mickey and Minnie taken in front of Cinderella's castle in Spring of 2017. If you send it from within the theme park, it will be stamped with an original postmark, making it a special memory they won’t forget!
Gaufres 950 jpy
Each box comes with 2 packs of 6 vanilla and cherry blossom flavored gaufres. The box even has a cute little handle to carry it around making it hard to throw it away after your done!

A line-up of products that make girls hearts flutter! A handkerchief, folding fan, and pouch, all with a cute illustration of Minnie make for a perfect addition to your Disney fashion. The back of the pink pouch has a handy little tissue case as well.
Spring-Limited Products!
The series of products using pictures of Mickey and Minnie during Spring of 2017. There are much more than just the postcard we introduced earlier!
Pen Case 1,500 jpy
This pen case has pictures of Mickey and Minnie’s smiling faces on both sides and is large enough to use as a small pouch. It’s hard to choose between these and the sakura pink pouch.
Cherry Blossom Motif Mickey and Minnie File Folders 450 jpy
Have you noticed that each of the numerous pictures feature slightly different poses or photo cropping? Not only is this file folder enough to make a Disney fan happy, it’s a useful item for every-day life. There is an A4 size (8.3in x 11.7in) file folder as well as an A5 size (5.8in x 8.3in) envelope case so you can make use of them right away during your trip!
Cherry Blossom Shaped Flashcard Ring 1,260 jpy
Small flashcards connected by a ring. Japanese students often right English vocabulary on the front and the answers in Japanese on the back to learn English. With cute flashcards like this, your studies are sure to prove successful! The different pictures on each one are sure to excite Disney fans, but these could also be used as souvenirs to hand out when you get back home.

A special version of the ever-popular frixion erasable pen is here. Not only is the picture of Minnie whispering something in Mickey’s ear incredibly cute, this pen can write in 3 colors: black, red and blue. This product is such a steal! On the top-right is a set of masking tapes, each with their own picture. They are perforated making them pretty easy to use.
Hinamatsuri Dolls 4,000 jpy (top picture), 2,200 jpy (center picture), Hinamatsuri Plush Toys (bottom picture) 2,800 jpy for the pair
In Japan, hina dolls are used as decoration during a festival called Hinamatsuri to pray for young women’s healthy growth. Hina dolls traditionally come in a set so Mickey and Minnie do so as well. Arare, a type of senbei eaten during Hinamatsuri is sold at Disney as well so you might as well buy them together!

The 2018 versions of the dolls used to decorate for children’s day (May 5th) are here. Being very Japanese-like, these products are quite popular every year. There are even plush dolls this year. The characters’ clothes and design change every year making them really popular with foreign tourists. Though May 5th is now called children’s day, the holiday was originally celebrated by praying for young boy’s healthy growth whereas as March 3rd was for young girls’ health. If you look closely, the family crests are shaped like Mickey’s head and Donald’s feet. They’re so cute!
Souvenirs That are Almost Sold Out!
Quick-Changing Minne 2,700 jpy
“Minnie oh Minnie,” the show that produces long lines of people is almost finished. Utilizing a handkerchief imitation the garments from the show, you can enjoy not one, but two Minne outfits! This product has been incredibly popular since it’s release. For those Minnie fans going to Disney fans during February, this is a must-have!
Snowgies Plush Dolls with Pin from Disney’s Frozen
From the movie Frozen, which was was a big hit in Japan. On March 19th, Along with the end of the ever-popular special events, “Frozen Fantasy Parade and “Ana and Elsa's Winter Greeting” comes the unfortunate end of the related products as well. Among such products are the popular Snowgie plush dolls. Each one has their own unique facial expression. Which one will you choose?

Along with the end of special Frozen even comes the end of the reusable shopping bag capsule machine as well. For only 400 jpy, you can get one of four different designs. There are some who feel the need to collect them all and try again and again until they do. The machine is located in Tokyo Disney Adventureland Bazaar.
