Stunning Design and Warm Hospitality

Stunning Design and Warm Hospitality

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka is the first property in Japan from the renowned Thai hotel group, Centara Hotels & Resorts. The hotel's concept centers on a harmonious blend of Japanese and Thai beauty and culture, reflected throughout its thoughtfully designed spaces.

For example, the elevator hall draws inspiration from Thailand's famous Yi Peng Lantern Festival, with soft, glowing lights that evoke floating lanterns. Just beyond, you'll find traditional Japanese shoji screens, which subtly change colors — from sky blue during the day to a warm sunset hue in the evening — creating a serene and immersive atmosphere.

This exquisite design and cultural fusion have earned the hotel the prestigious SKY DESIGN AWARDS 2024, a testament to its global recognition for aesthetic excellence.

The fusion of Thai and Japanese charm goes beyond the interior design. At Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, you'll experience a unique blend of Japan's attentive, detail-oriented hospitality and Thailand's warm, friendly spirit.

It's a rare combination — luxurious, out-of-the-ordinary comfort paired with genuine smiles and heartfelt service. This balance of elegance and warmth is what truly sets the hotel apart.

Among these, the most convenient stations for accessing the hotel are Nankai Namba Station and Namba Station on the Midosuji Line.

Checking In at Centara Grand Hotel Osaka

Checking In at Centara Grand Hotel Osaka

The lobby of Centara Grand Hotel Osaka is richly decorated in gold, a color that symbolizes wealth and success in Thai culture. This luxurious yet welcoming glow warmly greets every guest the moment they arrive.

The lobby's design is inspired by the charming alleys of Thailand. Besides comfortable sofas, there's also a traditional wooden floor area where you can take off your shoes that's suitable for small children to play safely.

The front desk and reception counters are uniquely designed with motifs inspired by Japanese tea ceremony utensils, with each piece possessing a strikingly elegant form that reflects Japan's rich cultural heritage.

At check-in, you'll receive a wooden key card that adds a special touch to your arrival. The staff can assist you in Japanese, English, and Thai and may also be able to communicate in Chinese, Korean, or Vietnamese. Throughout the hotel, signs are generally displayed in two to three languages to help you navigate easily.

Bright, Modern Elegance in Every Room

Guest rooms at Centara Grand Hotel Osaka are located between the 6th and 31st floors. The rooms are divided into three categories: the Yu Standard Floor on floors 6 to 15, the Rei Premium Floor on floors 16 to 25, and the Miyabi Club Floor from the 26th to the 31st floor.

All guest rooms feature a modern design with a crisp white color scheme. On the wall behind the bed, you'll find artwork inspired by pine trees, a motif drawn from the traditional Japanese performing art of Noh (Note: except in the suites).

In Japan, pine trees are considered lucky symbols representing longevity, immortality, and family harmony. Because they stay green year-round, they're cherished as a symbol of constancy and endurance.

Comfort and Style on the Yu Standard and Rei Premium Floors

Both the Yu Standard and Rei Premium Floors offer three types of rooms: the 27– 30-square-meter Deluxe Room (available with a king or twin bed), the 40-square-meter Corner Room, and the 40-square-meter Family Room.

The main difference between these two floors is simply their location; the amenities and facilities are the same throughout.

The differences between the room types are the number of windows and the bed arrangements. Deluxe Rooms have one window, Corner Rooms have two, and Family Rooms feature two windows plus a king bed and bunk beds. All mattresses are from Simmons, a globally renowned brand known for quality and comfort.

Each room boasts large floor-to-ceiling windows, filling the space with natural light during the day and offering stunning views of Osaka's night skyline after dark.

Each room is fully equipped with bath amenities, nightwear, and bathrobes. To be eco-friendly, items like toothbrushes, cotton swabs, and combs feature wooden handles. The spacious bathrooms come with both a bathtub and a rain shower for ultimate relaxation.

Complimentary drinks are also well-stocked, including globally popular teas from Steven Smith Teamaker, coffee from a Nespresso machine, and traditional Japanese green tea, all available for you to enjoy right in your room.

Exclusive Perks Await on the Miyabi Club Floor

The Miyabi Club Floor offers four types of rooms. In addition to the Deluxe Room (king or twin), Corner Room, and Family Room (also available on the Yu Standard and Rei Premium Floors) you'll find an exclusive Suite Room.

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka offers just two exclusive Suite Rooms, each measuring a spacious 56 square meters. Unlike other rooms that feature pine tree artwork, these suites showcase a golden moon, creating a delicate, romantic atmosphere amid their elegant design.

The living area and bedroom are separate, and both offer stunning views through large windows. Additional highlights include a walk-in closet and a glass-enclosed bathroom, making for a truly luxurious stay.

All guest rooms on the Miyabi Club Floor come with upgraded amenities and facilities. Bath products are from Panpuri, a luxurious organic skincare brand from Thailand. Plus, you'll find added touches like bath salts and a well-stocked minibar, making your stay even more comfortable.

The biggest perk of staying on the Miyabi Club Floor is access to the exclusive club lounge, The Club. There you'll find a private check-in counter, buffet area, comfortable sofa seating, and workstations with PCs. Concierge services are also available to assist you. (Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.)

The design theme of The Club beautifully blends traditional Japanese kimono patterns with Thai art. The interior features traditional Thai motifs and fans — a symbol shared by both Japan and Thailand — creating a uniquely elegant atmosphere.

At the lounge's buffet area, you can enjoy a variety of offerings during three daily service times: breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails. Popular choices include easy-to-grab sweets, seasonal light snacks, and flavorful Thai dishes. A selection of drinks is also available, including juices, coffee, tea, and Thai beer.

From Breakfast to Cocktails: Recommended Restaurants & Bars

Centara Grand Hotel Osaka has eight restaurants and bars in total. Here, I'll introduce some of the most popular spots among international guests.

A Delicious Japanese and Thai Breakfast Buffet

A Delicious Japanese and Thai Breakfast Buffet

Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor at the Thai restaurant, Suan Bua. At the entrance, you'll spot a colorful tuk-tuk, a symbol of Thailand. Inside, the decor features traditional Thai patterns with a modern twist.

Breakfast hours are from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. (last seating at 10:00 a.m.). Prices are 5,220 yen for adults, 2,610 yen for children aged 6 to 12, and free for kids under 5.

Breakfast at Suan Bua is served buffet-style, featuring food stations inspired by Thai street markets. You'll also find a well-stocked drink counter and a delicious selection of breads and sweets.

The buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, including Thai, Japanese, and Western favorites, ensuring there's something for everyone.

One highlight is the authentic Thai cuisine, prepared by Thai chefs who bring genuine flavors straight from home. While Thai food is known for its spiciness, Suan Bua offers both spicy and mild options, so everyone — including families with kids — can enjoy the dishes.

Of course, there's also a wide selection of Japanese dishes. One highlight you won't want to miss is the pickles from Iseya, a long-established shop founded in 1897 located in Kuromon Market, which often called Osaka's kitchen.

Japanes pickles, or tsukemono, are made by soaking vegetables or fruits in salt, vinegar, or soy sauce. With so many varieties, they offer a delightful range of flavors and textures.

The buffet offers over 40 different dishes. Egg dishes and Thai noodles are made fresh to order, and many dishes come with a variety of toppings and dressings, so you can customize your meal just the way you like it. It's sure to leave you fully satisfied and ready to start your day.

During these hours, you can help yourself and drink as much as you like. It's perfect for a quick stop before heading out to explore Osaka or before dinner, offering a relaxed and casual way to enjoy a drink.
