What kind of area is Osaka’s Horie?
Located near Namba, Shinsaibashi, and America-Mura, Horie is located within the city limits of Osaka. It’s a well-connected area, in close proximity to the likes of JR Namba station, Osaka Metro’s Namba station, Yotsubashi station, Nishiōhashi station, Nishinagashori station, and Sakuragawa station.
Once lined with furniture shops and other family-run shops handed down from generation to generation, it has evolved into a classy area with select and brand-name shops, lined with cafes and frequented by those with great sense in fashion and trends.
The road that has fondly come to be known as Orange Street is especially busy, with many cafés, trinket and specialty shops, and brand-name shops all in one fashionable street. It’s a road that excites you even as you walk through it.
Another draw of the Horie area is the large park nearby. The landmark Horie Park is popular as a place for shoppers to take a breather. The area is also frequented by locals in the area, and the playground is often lively with young children living nearby playing around.
Despite the up-class atmosphere of the neighborhood, the relaxing atmosphere that it exudes allows you to put your heart and mind at ease.
