Origin's 5kg 'Castle Wall of Meat' - Can You Conquer It?
Japan's ubiquitous bento and deli chain 'Kitchen Origin' and 'Origin Bento' have collaborated with TV TOKYO's programs' Deki-mori Hunter' and 'Kyou Kara Yaru Kaigi' to bring us the limited edition 'Castle Wall of Meat' and the 'Castle Wall of Meat Jr.'
The Castle Wall of Meat is made up of 3 servings of beef yakiniku, 10 pieces of karaage, 5 pieces of fried shrimp, 3 pieces of tartar chicken nanban, 3 pieces of cheese-chicken katsu, 3 pieces of cabbage menchi-katsu, 3 pieces of demi-glace hamburg, and 3 pieces of chicken tatsuta. There is also an additional secret treat underneath, complemented by 2,100 grams of delicious rice!
Those who dare to tackle this monstrous meal will also receive an original rice scoop, paper cup, paper plate, and paper napkins. Considering this is a meal to be shared with 10 or more people, the rice scoop will definitely come in handy!
One thing to keep in mind is that the Castle Wall of Meat is made on an order-to-order basis and must be reserved at least 2 days in advance. Orders can be made in-store, via the toll-free telephone number, or by searching for and calling an individual store directly.
The Castle Wall of Meat Jr. is the warm-up to the bigger battle. Available at any store without reservation, it's the more sensible choice when dining alone. It includes a serving of fatty pork yakiniku (with onion-salt-lemon tare sauce), a helping of beef yakiniku, a piece of tonkatsu, and 4 pieces of karaage finished off by shredded cabbage and 300g of rice. Plus, to add extra delight, an additional surprise is hidden beneath the rice! If 300g of rice isn't enough, you can supersize (+100g/47 yen) or mega-size (+200g/93 yen) your rice.
