Located on the 14th floor, Sushi Gonpachi Shibuya is a shop that offers an incredible scenic view of Shibuya City that you can take in as you enjoy your meal. Sushi Uogashi Nihon-Ichi Shibuya Center-Gai offers sushi in a casual yet authentic Edo-style standing sushi bar. Located right in the heart of Shibuya Center-Gai, this crazily popular Shibuya sushi shop is a great place to stop by for a break from shopping.
It is a roadside location, so you can get a glimpse of the inside before you even step foot inside. The Dogenzaka branch is also nearby.
Watch the sushi craftsmen showcase their skills right in front of your eyes as you enjoy the food. Prices are reasonable, from 75 yen a piece (order of 2 pcs minimum). An English menu is also available, so don’t fret if you struggle a bit with the Japanese language!
Fresh, Quality Akami Tuna at only 216 yen for 2 Pcs. (tax included)! Savor the Taste of Freshly Rolled Sushi.
I recommend the grilled salmon mayo, which boasts a generous 2 pc portion for only 270 yen (tax included)!
There are even set menus geared towards foreign tourists, such as the 9-piece set including ikura, anago, chutoro, and more for 1,728 yen (tax included), as well as the negitoro and scallops sets for 1,107 yen (tax included). What could be more charming than enjoying delicious, affordable sushi in a casual setting?

3. Kaiten-zushi Katsumidori: A Conveyor Belt Sushi Shop to Visit At Least Once
If you are planning to try Shibuya sushi, then you certainly can’t overlook Kaiten-zushi (rotating sushi)!
Kaiten-Zushi Katsumidori serves fresh, high-quality sushi at reasonable prices starting from as low as 100 yen per dish. You don’t even need a menu - just grab any dish that catches your attention as it comes around on the rotating conveyor belts!
There is a wide range of options, from tuna, salmon and other standard hand-rolls, to menu items such as California rolls, meat sushi, assorted tempura platters, chawan-mushi, and even sweets. With such a rich variety, there’s bound to be a sushi dish that anyone can enjoy.
An especially recommended menu item is the Akami (Red Tuna), 110 yen (tax included). Served with a large cut of Katsumidori’s specialty tuna, the cost performance is incredible!
Some other popular menu items are the kobore ikura (overflowing salmon roe) at 510 yen (tax included), and the raw fatty salmon so voluminous it sticks out of the plate, 360 yen (tax included).

Dogenzaka Meat Sushi is street shop located near the Inokashira Line Shibuya Station, and draws in many foreign tourists passing by.
The healthy and nutritious food here, such as the horsemeat sushi rolls, has recently gained popularity amongst young women, and is sold at an affordable price of 190 yen per fresh, raw piece (minimum order 2 pcs), a great value. In addition to horsemeat, there are also plenty of other options such as beef, pork, chicken, foie gras, and entrails.
Also popular for its photogenic appearance, Kobore Sushi Nikura (600 yen, tax included), includes ikura, horsemeat yukke, and negitoro. With plenty of delicious ingredients, this dish is sure to satisfy!
If you want to eat and compare various items, we recommend the Assorted Platter (1,600 yen, tax included). Enjoy the best, high-quality red horsemeat, salty yukke rolls, foie gras gunkan-maki, inari-zushi, and more, all in the same dish.
The specialty item that boasts the taste and flavor of the fatty, red meat! Sashi Toro, 890 yen (tax included). This dish is a domestic beef rib roast, cooked right before your very eyes.

5. KINKA Sushi Bar Izakaya Shibuya: Deliciously Fresh and Vibrant Aburi-Sushi
KINKA Sushi Bar Izakaya Shibuya is a place where you can enjoy delicious sushi, sashimi, and tapas in a casual setting. The warm atmosphere of this stylish restaurant attracts both Japanese locals and foreign tourists alike.
Their specialty is partially-grilled, partially-raw aburi sushi. With a simple and fragrant taste that spreads through the mouth in each bite, it is delicious and enjoyable, even to those who may not be such big fans of seafood.
Today, we ordered the limited weekend lunch menu of 2 small bowls, the 16 pc KINKA mosaic sushi (mini size), arajiru fish soup, and dessert. This beautifully arranged dish not only looks great appearance-wise, but allows you to try 16 kinds of sushi, with a focus on aburi-sushi! At only 1,560 yen (excluding tax) for this amount of food, there are no complaints here!
Let’s also not overlook their original, cutting-edge Japanese cocktails. The tea-based highball, "Chai-ball," is fragrant, refreshing, and easy to drink. There is also a complete course menu that is easy to choose from, even if you don’t know Japanese!
